The approaching release of Call of Duty: Vanguard is planned to have a significant impact on Call of Duty: Warzone. According to a recent blog post, Call of Duty: Warzone's Pacific update will be adding a number of new features to the game, including a new map, RICOCHET Anti-Cheat, and planes.

In the new update, which will reportedly launch with Call of Duty: Vanguard Season One on December 2, Call of Duty: Warzone will be renamed Call of Duty: Warzone Pacific and the action will be transported to a new map called Caldera. Caldera features lush forests, rocky outcrops, sandy beaches, mysterious ruins, a dormant volcano, and more. It was built using the information gathered from two years of research and listening to the community, and it's just the beginning of Raven Software's plan to integrate Call of Duty: Vanguard features into Call of Duty: Warzone.

Players will finally be able to take to the skies themselves in a variety of planes that will be added to Call of Duty: Warzone Pacific. Gamers will be able to steer these vehicles in displays of aeriel dogfighting or stay on the ground and guide powerful anti-aircraft weapons against their airborne foes. These AA guns will feature a streamlined loadout and weapon pool, which should help keep gameplay balanced and enjoyable.

The integration of Call of Duty: Vanguard into Call of Duty: Warzone will also be adding a ton of Call of Duty: Vanguard content, including Operators, Calling Cards, and more aspects taken from Black Ops Cold War and Modern Warfare. Cross-progression and Seasonal Prestige will also be making an appearance. The new dedicated Vanguard modes for Call of Duty: Warzone Pacific--Vanguard Royale and Vanguard Plunder--will be a showcase of all the new content, including weaponry and vehicles like biplanes and AA trucks. It will also be the perfect arena to test out dogfighting, especially once a new machinegun fighter aircraft is added to the game.

Apparently, this is just the beginning of the new vehicles being added to Call of Duty: Warzone for the Vanguard modes. Although these modes will only allow weaponry from Call of Duty: Vanguard to be used in loadouts, all Operators will be usable, including those with previously earned Call of Duty: Warzone content. This extends even to the dedicated Vanguard playlist, which some players may find reassuring to hear. Additionally, Call of Duty: Vanguard owners will be able to access the Caldera map a day earlier than other Call of Duty: Warzone players.

Call of Duty: Warzone is available now on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
