It has not been long since the last Call of Duty: Warzone event, as Call of Duty: Vanguard’s reveal took place a few weeks back. However, Call of Duty: Warzone fans have another event to look forward to on September 21, and The Numbers brings a very special item to unlock.

Unlike Call of Duty: Vanguard’s reveal, this event ties directly into the Call of Duty: Black Ops universe. Specifically, it picks up right where the Season 5 intro cutscene left off, as the event will cover what happens once Stitch increased the signal of the “Dragovich Program.” With the Numbers broadcasts used to brainwash soldiers, and this clearly being part of Stitch’s endgame, it will be interesting to see how and if the villain is stopped. Fortunately, players know exactly where they need to go to make progress in the event.

Call of Duty: Warzone Season 5 added Number Stations to Verdansk 84, and gamers will be tasked with heading to the Stations and interacting with them. For starters, players will get an extra $2,000 for each interaction, something that could help them get a good start to their match. More importantly, players will get a special reward for every unique Numbers Station that they activate. There will be nine rewards in total, with players able to collect cosmetics like stickers, calling cards, and charms for their efforts.

Call of Duty’s Season 5 Reloaded Roadmap provides a good look at some of these items. A special watch is included, as is an arcade machine for Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War. A neat charm is used to represent the red door fast travel points, while another shows a monitor covered in green text. However, these rewards pale in comparison to the ultimate prize: a brand-new Melee weapon reward that is exclusive to this new Call of Duty: Warzone event.

Players will be able to wield a Sai, something that should go well with Kitsune’s Tier 100 Battle Pass skin. To unlock the stylish blade, players will need to complete all nine event challenges in either Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War or Call of Duty: Warzone. Assuming the Sai is like the other event rewards that have been unlockable thus far, this could be the only chance that players ever have to acquire it. While battle pass weapons do eventually get unlock challenges, this situation is different, and the same may not happen here.

As such, Call of Duty: Warzone players will want to jump into Verdansk as soon as the event begins to complete these challenges. With many people likely rushing to the Numbers Stations, though, completing the Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War challenges may end up being a fair bit easier.

Call of Duty: Warzone is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
