Call of Duty: Warzone always seems to be suffering from various bugs and glitches, ranging from minor annoyances to ones that risk breaking the game. Even when developer Raven Software manages to patch them out, they're either replaced with brand new ones (such as an exploit involving the recently added Red Doors fast-travel mechanic) or the old ones end up coming back. The latest example being a bug that is providing sniper users an unfair advantage in online play.

Earlier this year, Call of Duty: Warzone players became aware of an issue that has been referred to as the no glint bug or no glint glitch. Normally, when a sniper scopes in on a target, there is meant to be a spec of light which alerts players to the sniper's presence. Since snipers fight at long-range and make a point of keeping their distance while hiding their location, the glint is there to keep things balanced and prevent snipers from being undetectable and, thus, overpowered.

Thanks to the aforementioned bug, the glint would no longer appear, making it much easier for snipers to take out their targets. Raven Software was made aware of the issue in April and eventually managed to fix it. But players have been reporting that it's somehow come back.

What the exact cause is unknown, but it has happen shortly after Warzone Season 4 began. Season 4 has added a swathe of new content of the game, but it has not been without its issues. Aside from the returning bug, some Warzone players claim to have been experiencing severe lag issues as well to the point where it can sometimes be unplayable.

According to Dexerto, the glitch doesn't seem to affect every type of sniper weapon in the game and is believed to be limited to Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War's sniper weapons, namely the KAR and Swiss 31, and the HDR from Call of Duty: Modern Warfare. Frustrated players are sharing instances of being taken out by snipers and have already passed word of it onto Raven Software. At the time of writing, it doesn't seem as if Raven has commented on the situation.

Since it's managed to fix the issue once before, hopefully Raven will be able to sort it out again sooner rather than later. But it's by far the only bug that needs addressing. Aside from the Red Door glitch, there is also a bug that prevents players from collecting rewards from fulfilling bounty contracts.

Call of Duty: Warzone is available on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
