NICKMERCS always keeps an eye on the Call of Duty: Warzone meta, and whenever he finds that a new gun is dominating, the pro player shares the insight with fans. According to the professional Call of Duty: Warzone player, the MP5 is the game’s latest “broken” weapon.
It has been some time since a truly overpowered gun has been seen inside Call of Duty: Warzone, as the last weapons to frustrate gamers were the FFAR Assault Rifle and AUG Tactical Rifle. Before that, there was the DMR 14 and MAC-10 pairing, with the latter being the last time an SMG was considered more than just a backup weapon. According to NICKMERCS, though, the MP5 is quickly entering into overpowered territory, and he shares his favorite Call of Duty: Warzone loadout with fans.
NICKMERCS does specify that players should be using the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare version of the gun, as this variant is superior in the battle royale game. While the newer version is fine, it lacks the stats of the original. However, NICKMERCS does consider the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare MP5 to be a “top 3 SMG,” saying that it has been a “tried and true” weapon since the battle royale game launched. As such, he does recommend giving it a try.
For the MP5, NICKMERCS recommends that Call of Duty: Warzone players equip the Monolithic Suppressor attachment. A fan favorite of the FaZe co-owner as well as other loadout experts, it is impossible to top the combination of a range boost and radar suppression. Further, with the MP5 having excellent iron sights, NICKMERCS avoids using an optic of any kind. Instead, he equips a FTAC Collapsible stock and some Stippled Grip Tape for speed. He also advises fans to boost accuracy with the Merc Foregrip.
While NICKMERCS primarily uses the gun as a close-range killer that can clean up weak enemies, he does still recommend 45 Rnd Mags for the SMG. Even if players only use the gun as a back-up weapon, having the 15 extra rounds can be the difference between life and death. With these five attachments equipped, gamers will be using the best possible build for the MP5. However, it is worth noting that NICKMERCS prefers the Bullfrog SMG, outright saying that he thinks the Bullfrog is a better gun in the video. As such, gamers may want to consider trying out NICKMERCS’ Bullfrog build as well.

Still, when paired with the PKM LMG, Call of Duty: Warzone fans should have a perfect setup when it comes to their weaponry. Even if there are better options out there, NICKMERCS does still think the MP5 is borderline overpowered and worth a try.
