Call of Duty: Warzone fans looking for a bit more weapon variety are in luck, as yet another gun has been added to the battle royale game. This time around, the RAAL LMG has joined the Call of Duty: Warzone weapon lineup.

Call of Duty: Warzone fans have been waiting for the RAAL to come to the game for some time now, as it was one of the unreleased Call of Duty: Modern Warfare guns that had been leaked online. With the Sykov pistol and CX-9 SMG coming to the game over the past few Seasons, the final holdout was the RAAL. With the leaked version of the weapon being so powerful, many were interested to know if the gun would remain as strong once it arrived. Fortunately, it seems like it is an absolute powerhouse.

As shown in a Tweet from Charlie Intel, the weapon is officially live inside Call of Duty: Warzone. The gun is described as having a low fire rate to minimize recoil and balance out its deadly bullets, with the gun also being lightweight for an LMG. The sand-colored weapon sounds like it could be just as strong as Call of Duty: Warzone’s PKM, a gun that has been wielded to great effect by professional players such as NICKMERCS. As such, gamers may want to unlock the LMG sooner rather than later, as it seems destined to be meta.

Fortunately, Call of Duty: Warzone fans will not need to put too much effort into unlocking the RAAL MG, AKA the Reconnaissance Auxiliary Assault Lightweight Machine Gun. While the gun can be instantly unlocked through a weapon bundle, the challenge is simple, meaning those that just want the default gun can unlock it quickly. The challenge in question asks players to get five LMG kills in seven different matches while using a Scout Optic.

With the PKM still being deadly, and the Scout Optic fitting LMGs well, players should have no problem racking up kills. To complete this challenge safely, though, players should not risk dropping into normal battle royale matches where they may or may not get five kills. Likewise, needing to secure a loadout makes the challenge a lot tougher. As such, spawning with a pre-made loadout inside of Call of Duty: Warzone’s Plunder mode is hugely beneficial, as is the ability to respawn. Players will then be free to hunt down LMG kills, focusing on the unlock challenge instead of earning money.

If players hop into Plunder and use a strong weapon like a PKM, they should have no problem getting the Scout Optic kills. With YouTuber and loadout expert JGOD saying that the new gun “melts,” it seems like the LMG is already making its presence known inside Verdansk 84.

Call of Duty: Warzone is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
