Call of Duty: Warzone players have been having a good time with the 80s Action Heroes event, as it has added several new locations to the Verdansk 84 map. The most noticeable is undoubtedly Die Hard’s Nakatomi Plaza, though Call of Duty: Warzone fans are no longer able to access its main attraction.

While Nakatomi Plaza would be an interesting enough location on its own, as it adds five full floors of offices to fight through, Call of Duty: Warzone’s vault has been the main reason to drop at the building. By completing contracts that spawn inside the skyscraper, players could get keys to gain entry to the vault. Opening it awarded $100,000 and a specialist bonus granting all perks, which was a massive boost that gave players an edge in their matches. Lockboxes containing killstreaks and other items could also be opened, while the contracts to secure the keys were different from the other missions in the game.

However, players dropping at Nakatomi Plaza today may be surprised to find that this vault is now locked. Further, the contracts inside are no longer attainable, making the tower more mundane. While some were initially thinking that the vault was disabled to work out some bugs, Raven Software has confirmed that the reasoning behind the vault’s shutdown is far simpler. In the patch notes, it is confirmed that Call of Duty: Warzone’s 80s Action Heroes event has ended.

While fans had known that time was running out given the event screen at the main menu, it was unclear if the locations would persist after 80s Action Heroes ended. After all, they have proven to be a big hit with fans, as the special quests associated with them gave players another thing to do in the battle royale game. However, fans now have their answer, as Nakatomi Plaza has lost its special vault quest. Unsurprisingly, the other event-specific areas have been shut down as well.

Players can no longer find Rambo’s dog tags at the Survival Camps, with the areas now “abandoned.” Further, Call of Duty: Warzone’s CIA Outpost is no longer functional, a decision that makes sense given the removal of the dog tags. Alongside bringing an end to 80s Action Heroes, the update altered the game’s playlists. Rebirth Island Mini royale was added alongside Blood Money, with both playlists being for trios. Rebirth Island Resurgence Quads was kept, while Power Grab and Plunder trios were taken away.

Lastly, the update fixed some bugs with the PPSh-41 SMG and the FARA 83 Assault Rifle, with iron sights and scopes changed for the two guns. The end of 80s Action Heroes is undoubtedly the biggest adjustment, though, and it will be interesting to see how fans react to the removal of the Nakatomi Plaza vault.

Call of Duty: Warzone is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
