Call of Duty: Warzone fans have encountered no shortage of strange bugs in the year since launch, with some even returning on several occasions. However, the latest Call of Duty: Warzone glitch is one of the strangest yet, as it sees a minigun showing up in supply boxes.

The existence of randomly obtainable miniguns goes against the work being done in Call of Duty: Warzone’s recent updates, as Raven has been doing a fine job of balancing out the battle royale’s vast array of weaponry. Significant changes to the Streetsweeper, AMAX, and FARA have seen the developer doing its best to acknowledge the game’s TTK issue. While the changes have been received well by fans and seem to be doing the trick, the newfound minigun bug is seeing players getting an unfair advantage.

Normally, miniguns are exclusive to Call of Duty: Warzone’s juggernaut suits, a wise decision due to just how much damage they can do. While they slow players down significantly and cannot be reloaded, these bulky weapons absolutely shred through armor. While this does make them a valuable drop, their rarity keeps them balanced, as players need to secure a randomly dropping juggernaut suit from a yellow crate. With these crates sure to be heavily contested, becoming a juggernaut is a challenging endeavor — though Redditor Lord_Hexogen has found that this step is no longer needed.

Thanks to a new Call of Duty: Warzone bug, Death Machines are being treated as ground loot. While they are marked as legendary, this would still not be fair, with Reddit users wasting no time saying as such in the replies to Lord_Hexogen’s post. Unfortunately, this glitch seems to be widespread, ensuring that gamers will likely encounter at least one of these Death Machine users in their matches. Further, the glitch is not only tied to Verdansk 84, as miniguns can drop from the crates on Rebirth Island as well.

On the positive side, though, Raven has assured Call of Duty: Warzone fans that it is aware of the issue. As shown in a Tweet from Charlie Intel, the developer’s Trello page now shows that the issue is being tracked. Both the Rebirth and Verdansk spawns for the minigun are mentioned, ensuring fans that both map’s crates will see the weapon removed whenever a fix comes. While there is no ETA on a patch, the fact that the bug is at least a known problem is a positive sign.

Still, with even Call of Duty: Warzone’s Grau unable to compete with a minigun, fans will need to hope that they never encounter the weapon in the first place. If they do, they will likely find themselves being sent to the Gulag soon after.

Call of Duty: Warzone is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
