Call of Duty: Warzone is always evolving, and players are constantly learning new tips and tricks to help them win more matches. A recent video that went viral on TikTok seems to be doing the opposite of that, as one streamer was tricked by a fake tip. This just goes to show that not every Warzone trick on the internet is a useful one.

The battle royale game is still going strong, and it looks like it will continue being popular after the Black Ops Cold War release. As recently revealed, it looks like some Cold War content will start showing up in Warzone and the Battle Pass, and Warzone progression will be shared across the games. One feature that will not be shared by both games is dumpster diving, as it appears players are dying to dumpsters and trash cans due to this viral video.

While vehicles are now back in Warzone after becoming terrifying due to a match-ending bug, it seems dumpsters are the new thing to fear. The viral video shows players jumping off of rooftops and landing on dumpsters, taking no damage from the fall. It went viral as a great tactic, telling players that they can safely land on trash cans and walk away. This was put to the test on stream by LuckyChamu, and the result was anything but lucky as he immediately went down and started dying.

Call of Duty Warzone will work with Black Ops

Even though this tip is not to be trusted, there are plenty of others going viral that are actually useful. One recent tip is how to cancel the gas mask animation, something that many players have searched for a solution to since the game first released. Tactics like that build a stronger community, while the dumpster diving idea just makes players leery to try new things.

Maybe something like reduced falling damage will be an option if the rumors of private matches are true. If that is the case, then players could potentially change parts of the game--such as falling damage or gravity--like in Halo custom games. Until then, trash cans and dumpsters should be treated as deadly as anything else when falling.

For now, players will just have to keep looking for new tips and carefully selecting which ones they want to try out at their own peril.
