Whenever Infinity Ward releases a big update for Call of Duty: Warzone, there's usually some hidden changes not mentioned by the patch notes. The big mid-season update for Call of Duty: Warzone has made a number of secret changes to the game, with one proving to be quite popular with fans.

After downloading the Warzone Season 4 Reloaded update, fans of the popular battle royale will notice a big difference with their killfeed. Now when players get longshot kills in Warzone, the game tells them the distance of their shot. While it may not seem like a significant change to some players, those who primarily use snipers in Warzone will definitely appreciate it, as it gives them a better idea of just how impressive their shots are.

Besides tweaking the killfeed, the latest Warzone update made some other changes that should please snipers in the game. The biggest addition is the Rytec AMR sniper rifle, a devastatingly powerful weapon that players can add to their arsenal right now. Players can unlock the Rytec AMR by completing a challenge in the game, or they can simply purchase its bundle from the in-game store if they so desire.

Meanwhile, a new equipment item added to Warzone is also shaking things up a bit for snipers. The Spotter Scope lets players look long distances without giving away their position with a sniper lens flare like they normally would. Players can then mark enemies with the Spotter Scope and take aim with their snipers, giving unaware opponents far less of a chance to take cover or fight back.

It remains to be seen exactly how fans will react to things like the Spotter Scope and Rytec AMR. The Rytec AMR has already been accused of being an overpowered weapon, so it's possible Infinity Ward will nerf it in a future patch. The Spotter Scope seems like a relatively inoffensive addition to the Warzone equipment lineup, so it's unlikely that any major changes will be made to it in the future.

As far as the killfeed change goes, Warzone fans can expect that to stay in the game as well, but the killfeed itself may get more enhancements at some point. The Warzone mid-season update patch notes noted that the killfeed also announces team wipes to the entire squad now, so Infinity Ward and Raven Software are consistently improving it.

Call of Duty: Warzone is out now for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
