Activision Blizzard has been teasing the arrival of Godzilla and King Kong to Call of Duty: Warzone's Caldera, and it seems the wait is almost over as the two giant monsters will join the battle royale tomorrow. King Kong and Godzilla reach Caldera as part of an Operation Monarch limited-time game mode which gives Call of Duty: Warzone fans several days to encounter the Kaiju.

Operation Monarch runs from May 11 until May 25, and the event isn't limited to the new game mode as there are many more activities and rewards to explore beyond the King Kong and Godzilla threats. Throughout Operation Monarch, Call of Duty: Warzone players will be able to collect Monarch Intel, do challenges, and battle the enormous King Kong and Godzilla alongside other players. Some of the themed rewards Call of Duty: Warzone players can unlock for completing Operation Monarch challenges include Legendary Emblems made for the two monsters, Epic “Ancestral Skull” Charm, and Epic “Skyline Crasher” Calling Card.

Legendary Entertainment joins Raven Software, Sledgehammer Games, and Toys for Bob to optimize Operation Monarch in order to represent Godzilla and King Kong in Caldera as accurately as possible. The two giants will travel across the landscape and eventually battle each other, but Activision Blizzard has confirmed that Godzilla and King Kong are considered protector Kaiju rather than destroyers, which suggests that more creatures may be coming to Call of Duty: Warzone's Monsterverse in the future. The event will include intel that explains why the two film beasts have made their way to Call of Duty: Warzone on top of what has already been confirmed in Classified Arms.

Godzilla and King Kong are joined in Call of Duty: Warzone with their respective Team Bundles, which include content inspired by each of their universes. Call of Duty: Warzone players who purchase both Team Godzilla and Team King Kong bundles will receive the exclusive “Godzilla vs. Kong” Weapon Sticker and the “Superspecies” Player Title. Godzilla will use Heat-Ray Breath, Tail Swipe, and Dorsal Slice as its offense in Call of Duty: Warzone's Caldera, while King Kong uses Quake Slam, Fin Breaker, and Aerial Axe Slash.

Considering Godzilla and King Kong have come together in the cinematic universe Legendary has set up, it's fitting to see the two compete again in Call of Duty: Warzone. Activision Blizzard has confirmed that these titans will experience frenzies as they traverse the Caldera, which will offer Call of Duty: Warzone players even more of a challenge than other moments of Operation Monarch. Because of all the free rewards included with Operation Monarch in addition to the new paid DLC for Call of Duty: Warzone, loads of players may see King Kong and Godzilla fight for the first time on Caldera as they try to survive.

Call of Duty: Warzone is available now for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
