Call of Duty: Warzone has its fair share of glitches and bugs, but one of the most persistent has been the infinite loading screen glitch. For months, Call of Duty: Warzone players have found themselves stuck at a never-ending loading screen, unable to get into a match without backing out or restarting their game. It's still unclear when the Call of Duty: Warzone infinite loading screen glitch will be fixed, but Infinity Ward has now acknowledged the issue.
Infinity Ward's Joe Cecot responded to a Warzone player on Twitter who asked about the infinite loading screen glitch. Cecot confirmed that the Warzone development team has been looking into the problem, but that it's turned out to be a "very complex issue." Cecot apologized to the player for any inconvenience caused by the Warzone infinite loading screen glitch, but couldn't provide an estimated time when the problem might be fixed.
While it's unclear when the Warzone infinite loading screen glitch will be fixed, fans can rest assured that other glitches in the game will be fixed in a timely manner. Infinity Ward releases new Warzone updates on a weekly basis, and these updates often address bugs and other issues that have been plaguing the game. So even though a fix for the Warzone infinite loading screen glitch likely won't come as part of the next update, it is likely that it will address other problems in the game.
Having so many glitches like this is largely a symptom of Warzone being a live-service game. Infinity Ward keeps updating Warzone with new content, and those updates often introduce other problems that need ironed out. Luckily, most Warzone glitches are relatively inoffensive and aren't necessarily game-breaking, though there are a few that have upset players.
The recently released Warzone Season 4 update likely introduced some new issues to the battle royale that will need fixed in the weeks to come, and as new content is added, so too will more glitches and technical problems. It's really just the nature of the beast, but many fans seem willing to put up with it if it means getting new content in the game.
Speaking of new content, leaks have pointed to a big Warzone map change coming at some point in the near future, so Call of Duty fans will want to keep an eye out for that.
Call of Duty: Warzone is out now for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
