Call of Duty: Warzone will soon receive new content for Season 3 now that season 2 is wrapping up. To prepare for Season 3, Call of Duty released a new Black Ops Cold War cutscene closing out Season 2. The cutscene sets things up for the next season, including some of the story beats it will follow.

A recent Call of Duty post revealed the descriptions of new content arriving in Call of Duty: Warzone and Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War for Season 3. Some of the content includes new weapons, Operators, Multiplayer maps, game modes, and new Prestige levels. Among the new content, Season 3 will feature a new event for players to follow called "Hunt for Adler."

Going by the name, the event will center around the CIA officer Russell Adler from Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War. It will follow the aftermath of the events from Season 2, where the storyline led the characters to the location of Verdansk and the plot by Stitch. In Season 3, the new event will focus on players searching for the whereabouts of Adler.

According to the post, "Hunt for Adler" will be a limited-time event. Operators are tasked with in-game challenges for Call of Duty: Warzone and Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War. Players will need to complete Intel Challenges, which will unlock Event rewards, including Weapon Charms, Calling Cards, a new Operator skin, and more.

Players can also unlock an exclusive Russell Adler skin to use in both Call of Duty: Warzone and Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War. Players will be able to read more details about the event in the Seasonal Event tab in the game's main menu between the Play and Weapons tabs. The new event will be available when Season 3 launches this Thursday, April 22.

The new season will be live following new updates to both Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War on April 20, and Call of Duty: Warzone on April 21. Along with the new Warzone event, Season 3 will also add new Outbreak content to Zombies, and Captain Price himself will be a playable character in both games.

The character will be available to players who already own Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War. New players who purchase any version of the game at the start of Season 3 will also unlock the character. According to the post, players will need to go online first in Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War before Captain Price is playable on Call of Duty: Warzone.

Call of Duty: Warzone is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
