Call of Duty: Warzone's Season 2 Reloaded update has added plenty of new content, and it seems it has also prepared the game for future content updates as well. Dataminers have been sifting through the Call of Duty: Warzone update files in search of clues of future content that is in development for the battle royale, and now they have discovered what is potentially a new kind of armor: helmets.

According to the leaks, it seems as though there will be three tiers for Call of Duty: Warzone helmets. The first tier will reduce headshot damage by 15%, whereas the second tier will reduce headshot damage by 30%. The third tier, meanwhile, will reduce headshot damage by 30% as well as reduce flash and concussion effects. Needless to say, these helmets would potentially give Call of Duty: Warzone players a huge advantage that they didn't have previously, and would potentially shake-up the current meta.

Level 3 helmets in Call of Duty: Warzone seem like they would be a huge game-changer in particular. Call of Duty: Warzone players often use flash and stun grenades to breach rooms in the battle royale, but this helmet would make it much more difficult to do that. Such an item could potentially result in more camping in Warzone, though the ever-increasing danger of the gas would still ensure players are regularly on the move.

Now, it should be stressed that this leak doesn't mean helmets are for sure coming to Call of Duty: WarzoneIt's not uncommon for Warzone dataminers to find evidence for things that never make it into the game, or at least, never make it into the game for a significant amount of time. That being said, there is a major update for Call of Duty: Warzone on the horizon that could potentially see the addition of helmets to the battle royale.

While no official announcement has been made at the time of this writing, Season 3 of Call of Duty: Warzone's Black Ops Cold War integration is expected to take place near the end of April, likely on April 22. The season is expected to kick off with a big content update that will see some massive changes to Call of Duty: Warzone as fans currently know it.

If the leaks and rumors are to be believed, Season 3 of Call of Duty: Warzone will see the Verdansk map blown up with a nuke and replaced with a 1980s version of it. Whether or not that actually takes place remains to be seen, but fans don't have to wait much longer to find out.

Call of Duty: Warzone is out now for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
