Call of Duty: Warzone burst onto the battle royale scene in early 2020 after months of speculation and anticipation. As a stand-alone game that also worked alongside 2019's Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, Call of Duty: Warzone has continued to be supported and has also seen integration with 2020's Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War. The game has seen huge success and has helped the Call of Duty series reach $3 billion in net booking over a 12 month period between its titles. However, the community is getting fed up with glitches, cheaters, and ongoing issues--and now a god mode problem has seemingly entered the fray.

Recently, 50,000 Call of Duty: Warzone players were banned for cheating in the game. However, many players in the community do not think that is quite enough. Currently, the banning system is based on reporting and monitoring, as opposed to a true anti-cheat software program. The most prevalent hacks in the game would be wallhacks (allow players to see enemies through walls) and aimbots (which gives players snap-on pinpoint accuracy). However, a few fans online are noticing a god mode ability that has popped up, and players are fearing that a new hack has entered into Call of Duty: Warzone.

Two videos have gone viral on r/CODWarzone over the past few days, both involving some semblance of god mode. Interestingly, one uploader thinks it is a glitch, and the other leans more towards hacking. Either way, the Call of Duty: Warzone community is getting exhausted with the issues in what is otherwise an enjoyable shooter.

In the first clip, which was uploaded by u/SCAR020, the invincible player almost seems surprised by their ability to be untouchable and curiously allows enemies to experiment on them with various weaponry. This super soldier can take countless bullets and even an executing finishing move and still come out unscathed. If god mode is a glitch, it could be that it is something that could be replicated, like the infamous Stim glitch in Warzone that has returned many times. A god mode glitch that players could take advantage of purposely would obviously ruin the experience.

The second god mode clip that was uploaded by u/Aldosarii is a bit more nefarious, which is likely why there are more accusations of hacking. The unkillable player goes on a rampage and appears to be taking down as many players as possible, which can often be the case with hackers. Recently a streamer was found to be using a new silent aim hack in Warzone, for example, and they were devastating opponents.

Many have been warning about evolving hacks in Call of Duty: Warzone, and this god mode ability could certainly be that. It could also be yet another unfortunate glitch. There is a theory that it has something to do with the most wanted contract, for example. If true, players could try to replicate the glitch whenever they snag that contract. Whatever it is, hopefully, it gets taken care of sooner rather than later. Fans of the popular battle royale are simply looking for a fair and clean experience with Call of Duty: Warzone.

Call of Duty: Warzone is available on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
