Although Call of Duty: Warzone continues to be incredibly popular with players thanks to consistent updates and new content being added to the free to play experience. However, one thing that the game has not been able to shake are the countless problems and glitches that plague players. Part of this struggle is the continued fight against hackers and cheaters, something which players have indicated has gotten worse, which Activision promises to address with its new Ricochet anti-cheat plan.

In addition to hackers, Call of Duty: Warzone continues to struggle with various bugs, ranging from harmless to more game breaking. Recently, fans have discovered a bug that allows perks from past games like Modern Warfare or Black Ops Cold War to be applied to Vanguard guns. While not incredibly game breaking, one issue has recently been appearing more often leaving players more confused than anything else.

Captured by Call of Duty: Warzone reddit user Bubuthing, the latest glitch seemingly shows players being eliminated by a giant floating head. During gameplay, the player seemingly gets taken out by an unseen enemy, what many would assume to be a sniper or someone at a greater range. However, the killcam reveals that the assailant wasn't a sniper, but something more strange and head scratching.

Oddly enough, the killcam showed the enemy character was a floating head, which is of the sniper character Polina Petrova based on the pigtails that can be seen. Polina was heavily featured in Call of Duty: Vanguard's marketing leading up to release, though as to why this glitch is happening is anyone's guess. Many chalk the issue up as another rendering problem with that particular Polina skin, as other commentors indicated that they had seen something similar during gameplay.

While being killed by a head is certainly odd, it's not the first time Call of Duty: Warzone has experienced visual or rending related issues. In fact, the most infamous of these issues has been known as the Demon Texture glitch, something which has had a long history with Warzone over the years. Originally discovered back in 2020, the demon glitch turns weapon skins into a spikey, textureless mess, making it impossible to use or aim down the sights.

Call of Duty: Warzone is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
