For Call of Duty: Warzone fans that had fun with The Haunting of Verdansk back in 2020, All Hallow’s Eve should be an exciting event when it drops later this year. Thanks to a recent leak, fans have an idea of what to expect from the next Halloween-themed Call of Duty: Warzone experience.

While players will be seeing The Numbers event later in Call of Duty: Warzone Season 5, the success of The Haunting of Verdansk ensures that more eyes are likely being kept on its successor. Fortunately, it does not sound like it is going to disappoint, as reputable leaker @TheGhostOfHope has provided some details on what players can expect. Specifically, the leaker has pointed out that Ghostface exists inside of the game’s files, confirming that the Scream killer is seemingly on the way to the battle royale game.

While this may be a bit surprising to newer players, it is perfectly in line with what was done during The Haunting of Verdansk. During that event, players could purchase Operator skins for Leatherface and Billy The Puppet from the Saw franchise. Both cosmetics were only available for a limited time, meaning that players could only purchase them while the spooky event was active. As such, those interested in playing as Ghostface should have some COD Points ready to go come October.

If All Hallows Eve follows The Haunting of Verdansk in other ways, players can expect some map changes fitting of the holiday. The jumpscare loot chests could return, as could ghosts and the popular Zombie Royale mode. With the Rebirth Island map also available to redesign and expand upon, it too could be remodeled with a scary aesthetic - something that would explain the name change for the event. Some Scream references could be hidden around the map as well, and though this is exciting, Ghostface may not be the only character that Raven Software pays homage to.

In @TheGhostOfHope’s original Tweet, they claim that Ghostface is “one of the Operators” that will come, implying that there will be another licensed characters just like last year. While the leaker is unsure of who else will be joining the long list of playable characters in Call of Duty: Warzone, they do theorize that none other than Michael Myers from the Halloween films could be entering the game. The next Halloween movie drops in October, ensuring that All Hallows Eve provides the perfect storm for a crossover bundle promoting the film.

Thus far, all fans know for sure about the Halloween Event is that it will feature a proper reveal for Call of Duty: Vanguard Zombies. However, with Ghostface seemingly on the way, and Michael Myers possibly joining him, horror fans have even more to be excited about.

Call of Duty: Warzone is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
