Call of Duty: Warzone just received its big mid-Season 4 update, and dataminers have wasted no time digging through the files. Call of Duty: Warzone dataminers have found evidence of all kinds of new content that could be coming to the battle royale in the future, including popular Black Ops character Frank Woods.

As reported by Geeky Pastimes, Frank Woods was discovered to be a new playable Operator coming to Warzone. Like any character not included in the Battle Pass, those that want to add Frank Woods to their collection will need to purchase him separately once he's added to the game. Of course, fans should take this information with a grain of salt, as it's possible that the dataminers are misinformed and Frank Woods isn't really coming to Warzone.

Presumably, Frank Woods will also be available to use in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare as well, though the details on the whole thing have yet to be revealed. If the rumors of Warzone being used to reveal Call of Duty 2020 are true, then it seems likely that Frank Woods will be confirmed for the game within the next couple of months, so fans should stay tuned for more information.

For the uninitiated, Call of Duty 2020 is rumored to be a Black Ops reboot, with Treyarch taking the lead on development. According to various rumors and reports, Call of Duty 2020 may simply be entitled Call of Duty: Black Ops or Black Ops Cold War, and it will feature popular characters like Alex Mason and Frank Woods. The characters are said to have updated looks and be played by new actors, so if Woods is really coming to Warzone, it will give fans a sneak peak of his new design.

With Warzone being a constant for the Call of Duty franchise moving forward, it makes sense for Black Ops content to start coming to the game, especially with Call of Duty 2020 set to launch this fall. Besides new characters, rumors have indicated that a new Warzone map is also coming with Call of Duty 2020, and one has to imagine that the new map will be based on the events of the Call of Duty 2020 campaign.

Hopefully more information on Call of Duty 2020 comes sooner rather than later so the speculation can be put to rest. And in the meantime, it will be interesting to see if any other Black Ops characters make their way to Call of Duty: Warzone and Modern Warfare besides Woods.

Call of Duty: Warzone is out now for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
