As a live service title, Call of Duty: Warzone is contantly changing and evolving in order to keep the experience feeling fresh. Sometimes these changes are more minor elements like periodic updates and fixes for existing issues. Large scale changes typically come from seasonal updates which bring an influx of new content, new operators such as Season Five's Kitsune, limited time modes, cosmetics and plenty more. In addition, Raven Software typically mixes things up around the halfway point of each season, while also giving fans a big event to round out each season.

With Season Six of Call of Duty: Warzone set to launch on October 7, Raven is making sure that the current season goes out with a bang. As players have discovered, Russell Adler has been captured and seemingly brainwashed by Perseus member Vikhor "Stitch" Kuzman. While able to partially fight off some of the brainwashing, Adler ended up triggering seismic charges planted in World War 2-era bunkers, which also detonated stockpiles of German bombs there as well.

As a result of these explosions, numerous locations on the Verdansk map have been irrevocably changed. Massive ground fissures and fractures have opened up leaving popular destinations like Downtown radically changed, which has seen multiple buildings fall down as well as a massive fissure running northwest to east. In addition, the Grand Hotel, Verdansk Museum of Art, BCH4 TV Station, and the apartments near the Big Bloc tenements are no more. The Rothwynn-Donna Building has also been highly damaged, leaving a more wide open space above the fracture.

Call of Duty: Warzone players venturing below the surface will find plenty of pipes to hide behind as well as Exterior Ascenders located in various spots to help quickly get back to the surface. While vehicles will fit, with the amount of rubble and debris, they'll likely get stuck very quickly, becoming an easy target for other players.

Verdansk Stadium has also been radically changed as the main parking lot on the eastern side as well as the monument area have been largely destroyed. A fissure now runs through the stands, bringing down the nearby construction crane and leaving an island-like landmass in the middle of the field. Needless to say, many of the long range sightlines have been removed, meaning Stadium could favor a more close range strategy.

There's also a smaller crack south of the Radar Array which will likely help players navigate over the previously flat open land. Players located at the Stadium or Radar Array may now have trouble taking out those approaching these zones.

Finally, Promenade East and Verdansk Hospital have also been largely impacted by the seismic charges. The large expanse of land is now broken up from the gas station and apartments across the street from the Hospital with a fault line that can provide plenty of cover. Warzone snipers from the Hospital may have a tougher time landing headshots as players continue to duck in and out of the newly exposed earth. Either way, these changes to the map should also alter the game's current meta and how players approach certain situations, especially as the map closes in.

Call of Duty: Warzone is out now for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
