Call of Duty: Warzone has just announced the key details of its upcoming mid-season update. Longtime fans of Call of Duty: Warzone may be familiar with these significant "Reloaded" updates that happen during each season which typically introduce lots of new content in the form of new maps, modes, mechanics, and loot.

Call of Duty: Warzone has been shaking up the popular Battle Royale genre since its release in 2020, sporting a free-to-play model and backed by all the first-person shooter experience of veteran studios Infinity Ward and Raven Software. With up to 150 and occasionally 200 players looting and shooting on its sprawling maps, Call of Duty: Warzone is appreciated by its fans for the chaotic gameplay. Warzone also stands out in the genre for the many conveniences it offers versus other Battle Royale games - looting is streamlined, time-to-kill is quick, and the Gulag system allows for second chances to enter the fray.

As part of Warzone's series of mid-season updates, the Classified Arms Reloaded update is promising to make the rest of Season 3 a lot more interesting, particularly because of its new underground transit system allowing fast travel between various points of interest throughout Caldera. Marked by "vault door" symbols on the Tac Map, 14 access points to the transit system can be found around the map. Each of them leads to a central hub room where players can make their way to their preferred destination. Audio and visual clues can help determine if danger lies at the other end, so mastering this system will be a key element to success as other players use the transit system either to quickly travel or prepare an ambush.

Along with the transit system, many other additions will be coming with Classified Arms Reloaded. The new Champion of Caldera Battle Royale mode features a single continuously closing circle. In this mode, kills instantly refill health, equipment, and ammo, encouraging aggressive playstyles to maximize survival chances while providing some great opportunities for easier weapon leveling in Warzone. The Occupation Scan in-game event also adds an interesting twist: during Rebirth Resurgence matches, an Occupation Scan may occur. Players must go prone during the scan or their location will be revealed on every other player's Tac Map and minimap. High-Value Loot Zones will also appear during Battle Royale matches, which will attract intense fighting as players seek to claim the powerful loot in these locations.

The mid-season update is expected to go live on May 25, so Warzone players have a few days to prepare their strategies for the upcoming additions. It's certainly an exciting time for Warzone fans especially as more details about Warzone 2 are revealed.
