While it's always been a popular gun in the game, the latest weapon balance update for Call of Duty: Warzone and Modern Warfare has turned the FAL into a monster with the right attachments. However, one way that the FAL has been somewhat balanced is by the gun's lack of full auto, but if a recent leak is to be believed, that will be changing at some point in the near future.

According to Call of Duty dataminers, Call of Duty: Warzone's FAL is getting a full auto attachment at some point in a future update. This was pointed out by Twitter account ModernWarzone, who was posting about the best weapons to use in the Warzone battle royale. ModernWarzone's tweet included what looks to be an in-progress image of the FAL Full-Auto Conversion attachment that will presumably be added to the game.

Considering how powerful the FAL already is with the right attachments, it seems like releasing a full auto attachment for it may not be all that well-received by the Warzone community. After all, it could potentially make the already-strong gun much deadlier. At the time of writing, an FAL with the right attachments has the fastest time to kill than any other gun in the game, so it doesn't seem like it really needs any kind of buffs or new attachments that will make it an even bigger threat on the battlefield.

Of course, it's possible that dataminers are incorrect with their information or that Infinity Ward doesn't have any intention of actually adding the FAL Full-Auto Conversion attachment to the game. Perhaps the studio was just experimenting with it and decided to scrap the idea, or maybe the attachment will come after another balance update that aims to make the FAL less powerful in general. Time will tell, but Warzone fans should hang tight for official information from Infinity Ward before they get too worked up one way or the other about a possible FAL Full-Auto Conversion attachment.

The next Call of Duty: Warzone update is expected to drop on Tuesday, July 14, so fans should keep an eye out for patch notes.

Call of Duty: Warzone is out now for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
