Call of Duty: Warzone has been experiencing several bugs and gitches in recent weeks. Unfortunately, one of the most troublesome issues from earlier Seasons of Call of Duty: Warzone has made a comeback, as the demon texture bug is being spotted once again.

For those unfamiliar with Call of Duty: Warzone’s demon textures, they join the stim glitch as one of the most prevalent issues with the game. However, while several patches eventually proved successful in removing the stim glitch, demon textures seem to have survived. The bug sees player weapons transformed into unrecognizable black blobs, with spikes covering the area where the weapon should be. Players can barely see when aiming these broken guns, making the bug very frustrating.

Normally, demon textures only impact guns, though they did briefly impact corpses in Call of Duty: Warzone prior to being fixed. While they have not been plaguing the game for several months now, it seems like the jump to Call of Duty: Warzone Pacific allowed them to return. While that alone would be frustrating, the bigger issue is that the demon glitch has evolved. Instead of just transforming guns, it is turning entire players into a spiky black mess - something shown clearly in a clip from Redditor TezzyTezz.

In the Call of Duty: Warzone video, the player is seen walking down some steps and getting ready for a fight. After briefly looking out the window, they turn back to the stairs to see a giant black blob spread across the floor. While this would certainly be scary on its own, the fact that it is moving toward them and shooting makes it even more intimidating. While TezzyTezz does try to shoot at it and take it down, the player is unable to find the actual enemy inside the huge cube. As such, they are killed almost instantly.

While a few Call of Duty: Warzone players do make jokes, most are shocked by the bug and frustrated that it has come back even worse than it was before. Like the post title suggests, Season 1 has been full of major bugs. Players have died when dropping into the map or randomly been sent to the Gulag. Others have been killed by invisible enemies or seen their games crashed due to Krampus. With so many major issues, a lot of the excitement around the debut of Caldera has been replaced with anger due to the state of the game.

For now, all Call of Duty: Warzone players can do is let Raven Software know that the demon glitch has returned once again. Hopefully, it gets fixed soon, as the invulnerability it is giving players makes it more bothersome than ever.

Call of Duty: Warzone is available now on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
