This free-to-play battle royale game is one with instant satisfaction around every corner, however, huge multiplayer games like Call of Duty: Warzone often come with their fair share of glitches that are anything but satisfying.

Since its release in March of 2020, players around the world have found numerous unintended bugs that can make life on the battlefield a different kind of crazy. When both conflicts and gameplay are constantly evolving in and outside of this title, players need to be on their toes when dealing with enemy players as well as the game's sometimes chaotic nature.

10 Invisible Car

Recently, despite Warzone being out for over a year, players can sometimes encounter missing textures and meshes. Usually, this would be obvious to developers since missing textures and meshes tend to have very clear placeholders that indicate that something is not there, however, Warzone's developers seem to have just left this spot in the game's code empty.

When things don't load properly for a player, this means that objects like trucks can appear completely invisible yet still operational. While this seems like it would be very overpowered for stealth potential, the player themself is still visible, which renders the appearance of driving an invisible truck more comical than advantageous.

9 God Mode

In terms of incredibly broken changes to gameplay, this artificial god mode is probably the most significant. After completing contracts, some players will leave that particular part of the game, however, their hitbox will not. This is attributed to something wonky, yet still undetermined, happening during the final animations of a contract that don't fully allow a player to leave regardless of not indicating anything is wrong.

What results is a normal-looking player being unkillable. Sniper shots do not harm them, nor the rounds of any other weapons, and executions and melee attacks are equally as useless. The phenomenon ends as a player logs out, however, for a continuous session, this can be a tremendously unfair advantage.

8 Putty Arm

The models of a player's character can do some strange things with little to no incentive, which can make every battle even more unpredictable than before. Some players have reported that when using the Mercenary Foregrip on the Model 680 shotgun, something odd happens to their character's arm. When trying to reload, on rare occasions, a player's left arm (the one used for reloading), will get stuck in the reloading animation while not even touching the gun.

This ends up being quite distracting, as one's arm will begin flopping about in a janky animation that will obscure part of one's field of vision. While funny to behold, this can understandably be extremely detrimental in a firefight.

7 The Window Is A Wall

During urban conflicts, windows are immensely important; they allow one to shoot at foes outside while within a somewhat defensible location, such as one of the many houses or other buildings on the map. However, sometimes bullets alone cannot do the job and one will need to resort to tossing explosives like grenades and C4 out of a window at approaching enemies.

Though, be warned, as sometimes broken windows will glitch out and not allow anything except bullets to pass through. This can result in players going for normally easy to land grenade or C4 tosses only to have their own explosives get stuck or rebound unpredictably, killing them instead of their foe. Many believe such occurrences to be attributed to the game not updating the lack of a window hitbox for all items in the game, acting like a severe yet highly localized server updating error.

6 Underground Assault

COD Warzone Rebirth Island Overhead

On the Rebirth Island map, there is a section that does not have the most stable ground. This is not due to in-game effects like mud or a secret and secluded room, this is just another situation where a part of the map is simply missing. In a specific spot between Chem Eng and Decon, the ground will be textured but have no actual floor, meaning that players can hang out down there and see under the map.

Additionally, since terrain clipping is only one-sided, players underneath the map can shoot through anything while others cannot shoot back. This has resulted in certain individuals taking advantage of these spots and camping there in order to get easy yet unfair kills.

5 Spray & Pray

Normally, it is impossible to use one's primary weapon while downed, which is a feature intended to prevent those who get semi-incapacitated from maintaining any sort of advantage. However, this is not always the case, as some players have discovered that using a spray item at the right time while getting downed will enable them to continue using their primary firearm.

It is speculated that this occurs due to the spray animation and effect interrupting the script meant to disable the use of a primary weapon. Why this happens is not quite understood, however, many just chalk this one up to poor coding.

4 Merry Christmas

In terms of urban battlefield camouflage, an all-black outfit combined with black facepaint can allow individuals to blend into the shadows like a ninja. This became an obvious advantage as the Roze skin was released and players began shooting down foes from the shade with near impunity.

However, somewhat recently, there has been a strange glitch that has essentially balanced out the Roze skin's overpowered nature. Sometimes, when in dark areas, the lighting of this skin will freak out and start displaying a ton of vibrant colors, which completely, and hilariously, neutralize the camouflage potential. There is no rational explanation as to why this happens and it even has the developers stumped.

3 Infinite Stim Shots

call of duty stim glitch

Stim packs are the most versatile and arguably most used item in the game as they restore the most important resource for a player: their health. When it comes to these portable injections, the more the merrier, however, some players have taken this to extremes.

If one tosses a grenade and then plants C4, they can immediately pick up both while using a stim pack to force the game's broken engine to repeatedly cycle the use of a stim pack while not consuming it. This results in constant healing and can make a player virtually unkillable. This is due to the game not being able to handle the use of so many consumables at once and gets stuck through the process of the last one used, meaning that one can also do this trick with items besides stim packs.

2 Don't Praise The Sun

call of duty hacker point of view

There are a lot of things working against Warzone players, from other players to the terrain, but never the climate and weather...until recently. Sometimes, when the sun is shining, a player will be all but blinded by what feels like a permanent flashbang grenade effect, though it will have nothing to do with enemy consumables.

Instead, it seems that the sun itself will glitch out and become extremely bright for a few seconds before the skybox also flips out and starts displaying a ton of multicolored blocks that look as unnatural as a sky can appear. Many gamers claim this lighting graphical error is due to a problem with one's graphics card, however, those that have replaced and upgraded their cards see this issue persisting, leaving many scratching their heads while shielding their eyes.

1 No Return From Annoyance

warzone out of zone alert

When leaving the legal area of play, gamers will be greeted with a warning to return to the game zone, however, sometimes while playing on the Verdansk map, players will be annoyed to find that the "Return to combat area" message, along with the obnoxious sound that accompanies it, will not fade for the duration of the game.

This UI glitch has been seen with other on-screen messages in the past, though players find this one to be the most annoying as the constant red screen is an eyesore while the blaring beeping disrupts one's ability to hear other in-game effects.
