Call of Duty: Warzone players are always looking for ways to get a leg up on their competition, and a new clip may prove that one item should be used more. The item in question is the Cluster Strike, with the Call of Duty: Warzone killstreak seemingly getting a major buff.

Cluster Strikes can be found randomly when looting in Call of Duty: Warzone, dropping from the various supply crates. They can also be purchased through buy stations, though players will usually prioritize equipment like Self Revives and UAV instead. However, the Cluster Strike may be something to use more often now. While the functionality of the Cluster Strike has not changed, as players still use a laser pointer to call in six rocket salvos, it seems like the tracking has been adjusted.

A Call of Duty: Warzone clip from Twitter user @LensEffect_ sees them playing as normal, using a stim and reloading their weapon as the Cluster Strike warning message appears on their screen. Once it does, they begin to bolt as far away from where they were as they possibly can, running all the way up a hill and near some white buildings. However, despite being very far from the area where the Cluster Strike was supposed to be coming down, they are instantly killed by the streak.

The comment provided by @LensEffect_ sees them comparing the Cluster Strike to Call of Duty: Warzone’s planes, arguing that both have aimbot. They also describe the Cluster Strike as “heat seeking,” and given the fact that the killstreak followed them all the way up a hill, the argument is a fair one. Video evidence like this is hard to shrug off, as the player has every right to complain about being killed by a streak that was nowhere near them. As such, other players are theorizing that the killstreak was quietly buffed by Raven Software.

In the comments, pro player and 100 Thieves member @Tommey firmly believes that the tracking has been buffed for the Cluster Strikes. While this would not be the first time that a Call of Duty game has secretly adjusted an item and not mentioned the change in the patch notes, there is the possibility that the Cluster Strike’s pathing is bugged. Caldera has had a fair number of issues already, so it is not too hard to imagine that the streak is simply not working as intended in the new map.

Regardless of the cause for the overpowered Cluster Strikes, Call of Duty: Warzone players may want to pick them up whenever they see them. For the time being, this particular killstreak seems to be one of the deadliest options available to players in the battle royale game.

Call of Duty: Warzone is available now on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
