Call of Duty: Warzone's developers continue to battle against cheating and hacking players by implementing ban waves. Player expectations grow as the developers have left an additional note on the latest announcement. It is unclear if Call of Duty: Warzone's community will see the effects of the developer's efforts, but the number of bans is actively rising.

Raven Software has been announcing its bans for thousands of player accounts throughout 2021. So far, more than 300,000 Call of Duty: Warzone accounts have been hit by the ban waves. When placed in contrast with the millions of players in Call of Duty: Warzone, some fans see this as a small effect, but progress is continuing as Raven Software diligently removes player accounts.

In an announcement today, Raven Software declared another 15,000 accounts were banned. It ended its tweet with an ominous "more to come," which has many fans speculating about more forceful countermeasures. Call of Duty: Warzone anti-cheat is based on a previously disclosed list of measures. The developers have promised to employ additional detection technology and add enhancements to their internal anti-cheat software. While this can not be easily proven, Raven Software has kept its word on more two-way dialogue regarding the anti-cheat efforts. Activision runs a zero-tolerance system, and banned accounts have no way of regaining access at this time.

Call of Duty: Warzone is preparing for a major month in the upcoming days. Season 2 is expected to end on April 21, and Call of Duty: Warzone's nuke event is rumored to be ending the map. This will supposedly bring an end to the zombie problem, and a brand-new 1980s-themed map is expected to appear within the battle royale.

It will be important for Raven Software to get a stronger handle on the Call of Duty: Warzone hacker problem in the upcoming days. With players returning for the upcoming event, hackers could easily disrupt the game's flow and remind some about why they left in the first place. Several streamers and content creators threatened to leave the game previously, and hackers are a major reason why.

Call of Duty 2021 is expected to be a new World War 2 game, and if the development and publishing teams cannot get a handle on hackers, it could suffer a similar experience. With players expectantly watching Raven Software for updates, fans hope the cheating epidemic becomes a problem of the past.

Call of Duty: Warzone is available on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
