Though many gamers are more bothered by the cheating in Call of Duty: Warzone, and understandably so, the game has also been particularly buggy in Season 5. This shows clearly through the latest glitch, as it sees a Call of Duty: Warzone match ending far sooner than it should.

The bugs in Call of Duty: Warzone Season 5 have ranged from game breaking to harmless, but it is hard to deny that they have been prevalent. Some harmless bugs have seen players stuck inside their Operators or growing a third arm in Call of Duty: Warzone, with both glitches being brief but strange. T-pose assassinations have also been doable. On the more frustrating side of things, bugs are stopping the payload from moving, disabling heartbeat sensors, and giving spectators an unfair advantage. With even flying vehicles to deal with, the game is hardly stable at the moment.

Unfortunately, this new Call of Duty: Warzone bug is game breaking, as it sees a match being won despite another player being alive. The moment was captured by the Reddit user korvo42, and it sees the player tracking the kill feed. If players watch the box with the list of kills as the action unfolds around them, they will see that not all the enemy players are eliminated. The final foe is in the door, trying to take on the three surviving players and pull off an impressive comeback. Unfortunately, they never get the chance.

The Call of Duty: Warzone match ends with the player sitting in the doorway and never properly engaging the three players in on korvo42’s team. They did fire off shots, however, something that is easily visible on the mini map. The red dot indicates that the enemy is alive and shooting as the victory screen appears, confirming that the match ended early. The opponent can even be seen on the victory screen, walking and shooting below the winners as they zipline up into the exfil helicopter.

With both the mini map and the final cutscene showing the surviving Call of Duty: Warzone player, it is very clear that they were never eliminated. While it is unlikely that they would have been able to pull off a win in a 3v1 situation, crazier things have happened. They also deserved the chance to put up a fight, something that this bug took away from them. With korvo42 and their teammates likely left feeling like they did not fully earn the win, this glitch is frustrating for all the parties involved.

Hopefully, Raven Software can deal with some of these frustrating bugs soon. With so many issues in Call of Duty: Warzone as of late, it is easy to understand why some fans are taking a break from the battle royale game.

Call of Duty: Warzone is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
