Call of Duty: Warzone bugs have impacted just about every weapon or equipment piece at one point or another, and the Heartbeat Sensor is no different. However, the latest Heartbeat Sensor bug sees Call of Duty: Warzone players being unable to use the item at all.

The Heartbeat Sensor has been bugged in the past, with one example being seen to this day. In killcams, the Heartbeat Sensor will not show enemy locations, making it seem like they were never pinged at all. While hardly game-breaking, it has caused confusion and remained in the battle royale title for several months. A bigger problem was seen with Call of Duty: Warzone's killer heartbeat sensors, as the equipment was randomly killing players last year. While this has fortunately been fixed, Raven has a new issue to deal with regarding the Heartbeat Sensor equipment.

The new Call of Duty: Warzone bug is closer to the killer Sensor than the killcam issue, as it can be considered game breaking. As shown in a clip from Reddit user imwjd, the bug sees the device becoming completely unusable. For whatever reason, the Heartbeat Sensor refuses to come out no matter how many attempts the player makes. For the entirety of the 19-second clip, the gamer can be seen starting the animation. However, nothing shows up, with the Operator’s hand instead going right back down to their gun.

Part of what makes this bug so confusing and worrying is that Call of Duty: Warzone players have no idea how to avoid it. As such, many may end up replicating it accidentally, making their tactical equipment completely useless as well. Nobody in the comments seems to have suffered from this problem, either, meaning that there is only this clip to go off of. Unfortunately, it does not tell gamers much about what could potentially be causing the bug, as the 19 seconds only showcase the aftermath that happens when it occurs.

Frustratingly, it seems like this is not a one-time occurrence, either. The Redditor that posted the clip, imwjd, claims that this has happened to them two games in a row. While something like this would have been great to see back when Call of Duty: Warzone’s stim glitch was plaguing the game, it is annoying to see in this case since the Redditor is trying to play fairly. With many players relying on heartbeat sensors to prepare themselves for certain fights, not having that ability could end up hurting those who rely heavily on equipment for their playstyle.

While developer Raven Software is likely prioritizing the game’s cheating issues, hopefully it is able to solve this problem quickly. Though it might not be widespread just yet, those impacted by the bug are clearly struggling.

Call of Duty: Warzone is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
