With Season 6 in full swing for Call of Duty: Warzone, fans currently playing through the limited time event Haunting of Verdansk. While this year's event adds the popular Ghostface and Donnie Darko skins for players, other parts of the game are leaving fans mostly frustrated due to on going bugs and other issues.

While hacking and cheating has continued to be a major thorn in the side of players, new issues have continued to crop up such as bugs like the teleport skill completely breaking players sessions inside of the Ghosts of Verdansk mode. However, the smaller map called Rebirth Island has been notorious for bugs, glitches, and exploits like the recent one seeing helicopters randomly explode or players being able to hide in walls. The small map has also highlighted a continued issue the power levels of melee.

When dropping into the tighter spaces of Rebirth Island during a Call of Duty: Warzone session, players have been adopting a rushdown startegy using perks like Dead Silence to hide their footsteps. Taking slower paced players by surprise, using melee attacks makes it virtually impossible to quickly counter effectively. One player named santeenthedream highlighted the issues with being ambushed immediately after dropping, being taken out by just two melee attacks even at full health and with two shield plates.

The response to the clip has been supportive for santeenthedream, with many calling for nerfs or at least some sort of balance for how strong melee is. Some have called for slower melee speed to allow some sort of reaction to the person being attacked, while others have called using melee taking no skill and shouldn't be rewarded with big damage numbers. Another idea suggested a consumable item that can be used to temporarily increase melee speed, providing a bit of balance to using a melee only loadout. It's certainly not the first time melee has been broken in Warzone, so fans are hoping Raven can do something this time around.

The broken melee is just one example of current frustrations with Call of Duty: Warzone. In fact, more casual players, those who may not log a ton of hours into the game, with how Season 6 is basically unplayable. One player asked the community if other casual players have stopped playing with many agreeing that they've moved on. Running into more hardcore players who not only spend hours inside the game each day, but spend money on the latest bundles and blueprints have slowly pushed those looking to just have some fun away and made the experience less fun thn it was in the past. That coupled with the continued bugs, cheaters, and issues are negatively impacting parts of the playerbase.

Call of Duty: Warzone is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
