It's nearly been a year since battle-royale title Call of Duty: Warzone released and it seems whenever a bug, glitch, or exploit is patched out, another one soon follows to take its place. What's more, these issues tend to really hamper the gameplay and potentially ruin matches, such as one that makes players completely invincible.

One newly discovered exploit allows players to enter lobbies that are actually filled with bots, meaning highly skilled players can circumvent the skill-based matchmaking, which would normally place them against players of a similar skill level.

YouTuber Drift0r, whose channel focuses on Call of Duty titles like Call of Duty: Warzonelearned of the exploit from cheaters who reached out to provide him the information, and has now uploaded a video to spread awareness of the exploit. He describes the exploit as being something worse than the DMR-14 weapon, which has been deemed too powerful and has render Warzone unplayable, according to some.

According to Drift0r, he was able to either join lobbies with nothing but low-level bots or lobbies that had real players but of a much lower-skill level. With this exploit, high-level players can rack up easy, guaranteed wins with no challenge.

Skill-based matchmaking has always been a controversial aspect, with many players saying they'd much prefer a ranked mode. Such a mode was absent from 2019's Modern Warfare and while there are no official plans to add one to the current Call of Duty titles, a prominent leaker has claimed that a ranked mode is coming to Black Ops Cold War sometime soon.

However, Drift0r's video isn't meant to aid players looking to learn the exploit, as it would completely ruin the game. Instead, he wishes to raise awareness of it and admits that, before publishing the video, he sent all of his information to Activision, so that the publisher could be made aware of it and find a way to quickly resolve it before the exploit becomes widespread.

Hopefully, it's something Activision can fix sooner rather than later, though it certainly has its hands full already with various other bugs that need sorting out. For instance, Black Ops Cold War is suffering from a bug that can randomly turn players invisible.

Another exploit making the rounds recently is one that can instantly unlock the Diamond weapon camo in Black Ops Cold War, though this one's rather complex to perform and is also virtually harmless as it doesn't affect the actual gameplay.

Call of Duty: Warzone is available for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
