Call of Duty: Warzone players have not been overly happy lately. Whether it's the ongoing unlimited stim glitch in Warzone that doesn't seem to be getting fixed properly, overpowered guns, or cheaters running rampant, the community is getting frustrated. One particular subject that has the fans in an uproar right now is the Call of Duty: Warzone integration with Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War.

A few weeks after the launch of Black Ops Cold War, the shooter received an update that allowed it to share progression, unlocks, and more with Warzone. Not only is Warzone launchable inside of Black Ops Cold War, but a new map was added to the game that was inspired by Black Ops 4's battle royale, Blackout, and all of the multiplayer guns from Black Ops Cold War are now in Warzone.

Many in the community were excited because this meant that the battle royale would also be freshened up. So now the not only would Warzone have the present-day guns from Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, but also the classics from Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War as well. But the integration may not have gone as smoothly as planned.

Almost immediately, the Black Ops Cold War weapons took over the meta, and even after multiple patches, guns like the DMR still reign supreme in Warzone. Instead of being a balanced game, Warzone is a game in which the top few guns are on top, and right now those are from Black Ops Cold War.

Although there have been countless posts and comments all over social media, one post, in particular, has captured some attention--and has since even been removed by mods--as fans want the Black Ops Cold War integration to be removed from the game. In reality, of course, that simply will not happen, barring something unforeseeable from Activision; as the company believes in Warzone and will likely want to see it be in some way connected to the mainline Call of Duty games for the foreseeable future.

Although some fans may think that glitches have been on a rise since the integration, the truth is they have been a problem for the entirety of Warzone's existence. Warzone cheaters should be something that Activision takes seriously, but they've troubled the game since day one. And as far as an overpowered gun meta, there were moments when the GRAU, MP5, M4A1, Bruen MK9, and others were all considered overpowered.

Call of Duty: Warzone is available on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
