Call of Duty: Warzone players have a lot to look forward to in the near future. With an enormous update in the works planned to continue the story of Call of Duty: Vanguard, add the new Pacific Caldera map, and transform the game into Call of Duty: Warzone Pacific, it seems the title has a treasure trove of new content coming down the pipeline. However, one player appears to have accidentally made his own fun with a poorly-timed invitation for another player to be his best man.

The battle royale game allows for online multiplayer with up to 150 players, which can lead to a frantic experience. The confusion is only enhanced by Call of Duty: Warzone's array of bugs and hackers, all of which can seriously impact gameplay.

Redditor JewCanoe42 shared a short video focusing on a moment he took out of a busy day to catch up with a friend mid-round. As the two charged across a Call of Duty: Warzone map in a relatively quiet moment, the Redditor told his friend that he was getting married. He stated that although he didn't have a date yet, he wanted his friend to be his best man. Unfortunately, as soon as the invitation was uttered, the bullets began flying.

Almost as soon as the words were out of the Redditor's mouth, both he and his prospective best men were cut down by enemy fire and kicked back to the lobby screen. One soldier telling another about plans they have for after the war is commonly used as cinema shorthand to humanize the soldiers. Often, this is to prepare the audience to care about the characters' inevitable impending death. While this interaction seems to have been unscripted and the results unintentional, it certainly resembles similar scenes in war movies that may have inspired the Call of Duty games.

It appears that other fans find the video hilarious. Some users stated that they were planning to invite their friends to be their best men over Call of Duty: Warzone now as well. According to the original poster, his friend did agree to be his best man after things calmed down, so the tactic does appear to be successful. It's certainly not the strangest thing a player has done in Call of Duty: Warzone, though it may be one of the heartwarming.

Call of Duty: Warzone is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
