The MAC-10 SMG has made a massive impact on the Call of Duty: Warzone meta. Appearing shortly after the launch of Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War Season 1's battle pass, the weapon gained attention for being a "bullet hose." Call of Duty: Warzone players, streamers, and fans have had several weeks to learn how to harness the power of this unique weapon.

Prior to the release of Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War Season 1, the Kilo 141 and R9-0 Shotgun dominated the meta. With Season 1's weapons added to the game, players flocked to the DMR Tactical Rifle and MAC-10 as their preferred loadouts. Between the long-range potential of the DMR and the short-range power of the MAC-10, players were quickly able to dominate all ranges and beam down players efficiently.

Recently, Call of Duty: Warzone pro player Aydan announced they changed their mind about the MAC-10. After looking closer at its potential, he realized there is a key loadout that could maximize the gun's potential and unleash rapid damage upon his enemies. With the Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War MAC-10, the main problem lies with the weapon's massive recoil and bullet spray. By focusing the weapon into a more stable output, a player could harness the rapid damage potential while gaining the mobility benefits of a SMG.

Aydan's MAC-10 Loadout

  • Muzzle - Agency Suppressor
  • Barrel - 5.9" Task Force
  • Stock - No Stock
  • Ammunition - STANAG 53 RND Drum
  • Rear Grip - Serpent Wrap

The Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War weapon breakdown is fairly simple, as the Agency Suppressor silences shots and increases damage slightly. The 5.9" Task Force barrel increases the range by a minor amount, also aids in the recoil control. Taking away the stock aids in mobility, while the 53 RND drum helps compensate for the massive fire rate of this weapon. As for the Serpent Wrap, this aids in switches between the primary and secondary weapon, and helps stabilize the recoil.

One of the interesting adjustments that Aydan made is the removal of the Stock as opposed to the Call of Duty: Warzone meta attachment Field Agent Grip. In his video, he notes that the Field Agent Grip offers minimal recoil reduction, and as a minor adjustment he would rather have No Stock for a more responsive weapon.

The MAC-10 seems to be dominating the Call of Duty: Warzone meta for the moment. It is unknown how long it will take before the developers nerf the weapon, but for now players can easily take down enemies if they are close enough for this weapon to reach them.

Call of Duty: Warzone is available on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
