Call of Duty: Warzone Season 1 is kicking off on December 16, integrating the battle royale with Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War and adding a ton of new content to the game. While Call of Duty: Warzone fans have plenty to look forward to when Season 1 starts, there is even more coming throughout the season. This includes a new vehicle type that players will be able to use on both Verdansk and Rebirth Island.

It's been confirmed that Call of Duty: Warzone is adding an Attack Helicopter at some point during Season 1. The Call of Duty: Warzone Attack Helicopter will function similarly to the regular helicopter in the game, but with two miniguns that are operated by passengers. This should go a long way in making helicopters significantly more dangerous vehicles than they currently are in the game, and could definitely shift the meta in a big way.

It's unclear when Call of Duty: Warzone is adding the Attack Helicopter, but it could be coming as part of the mid-season refresh. Assuming Call of Duty: Warzone sticks to the pattern that was established when it was tied to Modern Warfare, fans should expect another big content drop about halfway through the season that adds even more new content to the ever-evolving experience.

New Warzone Map Rebirth Island

The Attack Helicopter is the only new vehicle confirmed for Call of Duty: Warzone Season 1 so far. In the meantime, fans of Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War can look forward to a new vehicle of their own. Activision has confirmed that the Tactical Raft is coming to Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War at some point during Season 1, with the vehicle first appearing on the new Sanatorium map.

The Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War Sanatorium map is part of the large-scale Fireteam game mode, which itself is similar in style to Warzone. There are rumors that Treyarch may be looking to patch the various Black Ops Cold War Fireteam maps together to create a new battle royale map at some point, and if so, it would stand to reason that vehicles like the Tactical Raft would be available on it. However, fans shouldn't necessarily expect to see it make its way to Verdansk or Rebirth Island.

More information on Call of Duty: Warzone's Attack Helicopter will come to light later in the season. For now, fans can take advantage of Black Ops Cold War's double XP event so they can level up some of the guns that will be added to Warzone come Season 1's debut on December 16.

Call of Duty: Warzone is out now for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
