Yet another update has been released for Call of Duty: Warzone, and this time a new item called the Armor Box has been added that allows a squad to fully replenish their armor with ease. The Armor Box is a small addition on paper, but in practice, it can quickly change the sway a battle one way or the other during a heated Warzone firefight.

Armor is crucial to survival in Call of Duty: Warzone, and veteran players know the importance of staying stocked up on armor plates in case of an ambush or spontaneous shootout. However, each player can only hold so many armor plates, and finding additional plates when it matters the most can be difficult. During an engagement, there is not a lot of time to scrounge for extra armor plates, even if a squad is in dire need of protection. The new Armor Box item makes topping off everyone's armor count during an engagement a breeze, and it's bound to change the way a lot of Warzone players approach the game.

The Armor Box is similar to the Munitions Box, an item that has existed in Warzone since the beginning. While the Munitions Box provides an ammunition refill to any friendly squad member who interacts with it, the Armor Box offers free armor plates to the entire team. The Armor Box can be found as floor loot or in a Supply Box, and it can also be purchased from a Buy Station for the right price. The Armor Box is a field upgrade, so it can be carried without sacrificing any weapons or equipmentWarzone's field upgrade offerings are fairly slim, so the Armor Box isn't competing with too many items for players' attention.

The Armor Box is sure to be a welcome addition among the Warzone community. It might not seem like much, but it can essentially act as a get out of jail free card for any squad caught in a bad situation. Usually, getting pinned down without enough armor plates spells doom for a squad, but if at least one teammate is carrying an Armor Box, that squad is put immediately back into the fight. The inclusion of the Armor Box will likely take some getting used to, just like the new Gulag weapons added in today's update, but it will likely become a highly sought after piece of loot for the most competitive Warzone players.

Small updates like these are the lifeblood of free-to-play battle royale shooters like Call of Duty: Warzone. Large content updates can only be released so frequently, so it's smart on Infinity Ward's part to include little things that can drastically change the way people play the game. Sometimes these ideas don't pan out the way the developers hope, like with the Most Wanted contracts, but hopefully the Armor Box ends up as a fan-favorite addition rather than a hated mistake.

Call of Duty: Warzone is available now on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
