Raven Software just released a new update for its popular Call of Duty: Warzone battle royale. The patch fixes many issues that have plagued the game since the launch of Season 3 last week.

The latest update for Call of Duty: Warzone went live on April 28, with goals including fixing major glitches such as one that allowed players to get beneath the map and another that stopped them from claiming rewards from the Hunt for Adler event. Raven Software has also ended Plunder endgame chat.

The patch fixes a common glitch where Warzone wouldn’t register the completion of Hunt for Adler challenges. This blocked players from getting the limited-time rewards associated with the event, including the exclusive Adler Operator Skin for completing all challenges. Some players also encountered a bug where Intel needed for the challenges would spawn outside of the map, but Tuesday’s patch reportedly fixed both issues.

Unfortunately for some, Raven Software only planned for the Hunt for Adler event to run until April 28. Fixing critical bugs on the last day of the event might not give players enough time to earn their rewards. The developer acknowledged this problem in a Tweet, saying the studio is “considering options." The statement prompted some Twitter users to question why Raven Software could not simply extend the event by a few more days.

Intel was not the only thing getting outside the map before Tuesday’s patch. An exploit let players slip beneath Verdansk at various locations, allowing cheaters to rack up kills undetected. Warzone players complained about the glitch on Reddit, and it was one of the bugs fixed by Tuesday’s patch. The update also addressed several other minor glitches with Warzone’s audio, graphics, animations, and interface.

The patch also removes the voice chat from Plunder mode’s endgame lobby. Before the update, Warzone locked players into a 100-person voice chat after each Plunder match, which became a space for some players to vent their pent-up frustration, sometimes turning the end of every Plunder game into a flood of screaming and racism. The patch notes indicate that Raven intended to disable endgame chat as part of Warzone’s Season 3 update last week, but it is not entirely clear why that didn’t happen on schedule. At least fans can take advantage of the calmer environment now.

Call of Duty: Warzone is available on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
