Survival in Call of Duty: Warzone relies on effectively dodging enemy fire and maintaining a full supply of armor plates. On PC, it is easy to keybind the plate for convenience, but console players must wait for the animation to follow through before adding another plate. On Warzone fan has discovered a small suggestion that may make it easier to apply multiple plates with a single button press.

There is always debate about whether keyboard and mouse is more efficient than controller-based inputs. Different games have different settings depending on the input device used in Warzone, and that function is what this fan is taking advantage of.

Fans will need a keyboard and mouse to accomplish this trick. First, plug the keyboard and mouse into the console and boot up Modern Warfare. Once there, go into the options and find the "Killstreaks & Vehicles" tab. There, players can edit the Armor Plate Behavior, and should change it to "Apply All." After that is done, simply unplug the keyboard and mouse and the default button on the controller will now apply all the plates by holding down the button and starting the animation.

This is useful for players who always want to apply all their plates while in combat. Instead of holding down the button for all three plates, players are now free to be prepared for any incoming fire or enemies with their free hand. This is extremely useful when paired with Warzone's armor satchel as it allows for increased carrying compacity of armor plates.

It is unknown as to why editing keyboard controls would affect the controller. The fan that shared this tip only knows that it works, and one fan in the comments called this a "game-changing" tip. Although it could be a bug, many fans thought it was strange that players would need to hold down the button the entire time on the controller when the same doesn't apply to keyboard and mouse. At least with full armor fans can be prepared for the armor breaking weapons in Warzone.

The ability to only put in one armor plate does have a tactical advantage on its own. It allows quick decisions to be made and minimal armor might be all a player needs to win the fight. It comes down to personal preference as many fans would love the ability to equip all the plates back to back rather than waiting for each one to finish.
