Call of Duty is one of the most financially successful video game series of all time, and Call of Duty: Warzone, which is essentially a game within a game, shows that the series is willing to experiment with its content even with the accusations of being formulaic. Despite its campaigns being mainly about the dangers of war and having serious narratives, Call of Duty’s multiplayer modes are the exact opposite. Like many games, Call of Duty stops being easy to take seriously once players duke it out with their friends or with random people online. Some of the things players can expect when playing these games’ multiplayer modes include goofy animations and themed skins that are completely out of place.

On the topic of skins, there have dozens, if not hundreds, of different color schemes and emblems that players can give their characters and weapons throughout Call of Duty history. In Call of Duty: Warzone, one particular example of odd skins is anime-themed packs. They are predictably stylized and colorful. As a result, they clash with the gritty color scheme and realistic art style of the Call of Duty series. The juxtaposition of such drastically different art styles in one game adds layers to how ludicrous multiplayer sessions can be.

All the Anime-Themed DLC in Warzone

call of duty warzone anime dlc skins
  • Anime-Ted Dream Reactive is mostly reminiscent of action anime with mechs and elements of science fiction. The color motif is purple, and prominent characters include humans, presumably superheroes of some sort, with technologically advanced suits and weaponry, alongside a bloblike alien. The pack comes with two blueprints (“Annihilation” for XM4s and “Deconstruction” for Swiss K31s), a charm called “Squishy,” a reticle called “Lil Blob,” an emblem called “Mechanized Threat” and two calling cards “One Hit Wonder” and “Barrage of Kicks”).
  • Tracer Pack: Blossom Anime is more geared toward anime with traditional weaponry like katanas, which also appear in anime-inspired games. As shown with the blueprints (“Milly Blossom” for Milano 821s and “Grizzy Blossom” for Grozas), the general aesthetics are shades of purple and orange. The pack also comes with a stereotypical girly skin called “Petal Pusher,” two calling cards (“Serenity Blossom” and “Death Blossom”), two 1 Tier Skips and a flower charm simply called “Blossom.”
  • Angels & Demons Reactive Anime is evidently themed around angels and demons, and the duality surrounding them. It comes with two blueprints (“Cursed Angel” for AK-47s and “Divine Blossom” for M82s), a “Good & Evil” charm that is a half white, half black angelic figure, a “Sword Singer” charm, and two calling cards called “Angel’s Grace” and “Demon’s Lust” that respectively have heavenly and hellish backgrounds.
  • Anime Pilot is reminiscent of works like Gundam, and its theming is straightforward. It includes the blueprints “Talon Envy” (for M16s), “Fly Boy” (for MP5s), and “Strafe Run” (for Gallo SA12s), a charm (“Pilot’s Helm”), and a calling card (“Sky Patrol,” which features a soldier saluting).
  • Anime Assassin, despite its edgy name, has mostly pink comsetics, including blueprints for GBZ-83s, AK-74us, and knives (“Almost Famous, “Pop Star,” and “Assassin’s Blade, respectively), a “Lover’s Dagger” charm, and a calling card named “Low Profile.”
  • Anime Pop Stars is themed around idols, and has cosmetics with bright, saturated colors. It comes with two blueprints (“Pop Star II” for AUGs and “Auto Toon” for FFAR 1s), a wolf-themed emblem and sticker respectively called “Raised by Wolves” and “Ferocity,” a skin for cargo trucks called “Pop Star Truck," and a charm called “Maneki Neko,”
  • Tracer Pack: Violet Anime is simple. It has violet blueprints for RPDs, AK-47us, and Diamattis called “Big,” “Little,” and “Tiny,” all ending with “Comrade”. It also comes with a charm called “Tiny Tank.”
  • Tracer Park: Anime Super is all bright pink and named after anime archetypes (Tsundere, Yandere, Kuudere, Deredere, Dandere). The exceptions are the “Bunny Gun” charm and the “Anime Enthusiast” calling card.
  • Anime Express is another pack with pink skins. It contains “J-Pop Pop” for Uzis, “Cuteness Reload” for Model 680s, and “Senpai” for cargo trucks, as well as a “Faithful Companion” charm.
  • Akimbo Pack Anime is, yet again, another pink pack. It comes with a blueprint for X16s called “Cherry Blossom,” an “Orizuru” charm, and a calling card named “Cya.”
  • The final DLC on the list is the simply named Tracker Pack: Anime, which also comes with pink cosmetics. With it, players get “The Breakup” and “Casanova” blueprints for M4A1s and P90s, a “Love Bomb” charm, a “Luscious” sticker that is just a pair of lips, and a “Skirting Death” calling card.
