Aim Assist has been a long-debated feature among the Call of Duty: Warzone community. While the feature mainly applies to console and controller users, some players believe it may be tuned too strong. Call of Duty: Warzone has a competitive design, and any advantage tends to get exploited.

As Call of Duty: Warzone Season 3 launched several new operators and locations, fans noticed an issue with Aim Assist. Through experimentation, one fan found an exploit that makes it stronger than intended. Using this known exploit, the player demonstrates how fans are shooting through a rooftop using Aim Assist to guarantee kills.

Reddit user ThePizzaCook believes that Aim Assist is busted, as he is able to shoot blindly and hit targets. In his video, ThePizzaCook is seen using Aim Assist as he sits on the top of a building. As he fires, the gun auto locks onto its target, which is clearly an issue for anyone inside the building. Call of Duty: Warzone exploits tend to become commonly utilized, and this problem has only just begun to strike the community. Some fans have expressed frustration that this has become a problem, and even Aim Assist advocates agree that what is happening in the footage is a major issue.

Call of Duty: Warzone competitive players and streamers have debated the feature, and many agree that it is strong. Dr Disrespect was shown using the feature and scoring plenty of kills without much effort. While this generally does not give pro players an advantage, the stronger the feature gets the closer it becomes to an aimbot.

Comments on Reddit are starting debates both supporting and opposing the feature. Call of Duty: Warzone tends to leave the Aim Assist feature unadjusted, despite multiple claims to its strength. While the feature itself may not be adjusted, this spot on the roof needs a quick patch before it becomes a larger problem.

So far, the developers seem to be unaware of the issue, as the Call of Duty Trello is without an appropriate card. Players can continue to present clips of Aim Assist's strength and glitch spots, and if enough do it may provoke a quicker developer response. Until then, fans are advised to avoid using this exploit and instead reporting anyone seen abusing the system, Activision states that using in-game exploits knowingly is a bannable offense.

Call of Duty: Warzone is available on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
