Warzone 2.0 has reduced the significance of custom classes from the first Warzone. However, there are still plenty of ways for players to access and create their own classes to use in-game. Whether it's the drops in the mid-game or completing a stronghold, the developers have reduced the accessibility of loadouts but have still kept them viable.

This list gives players a few options when it comes to their custom class and weapons they may want to use. If players are already a high rank in Warzone and have some good experience in Modern Warfare 2, they probably already have access to most of these weapons. If players are still learning some of the mechanics, there are a few options here for those individuals as well.

In general, custom loadouts give players access to weapons and attachments that may not be available through normal ground loot or buy stations, as well as some perk packages. Although it can be a good strategy to rush the strongholds and get the loadout early, players can still contest one of the loadout drops present in the mid-game to gain access to these weapons.

5 M4 / Fennec 45

M4 / Fennec 45

As one of the most accessible weapons in the game, the M4 has become very popular among the more novice players in Warzone. With low recoil and high damage, the M4 is definitely a good option for players who may not have every weapon unlocked.

Due to the M4 being such an early unlock, most players probably have a lot of attachments unlocked for the weapons through Modern Warfare's multiplayer. With a suppressor, scope, and foregrip, players can really customize the feel of this weapon, making it deadly at medium to long range. However, this weapon is definitely not the best in class, with the TAQ-56 being such a strong option.

Paired with the Fennec, this class excels at all ranges and is easily accessible to all players. To unlock the Fennec, players simply must level their main account rank. This can simply be done by playing any game mode in Modern Warfare 2 or Warzone 2.0. This is definitely one of the most accessible classes on the list, but it may not necessarily be the best.

4 RAAL MG / Fennec 45RAAL MG / Fennec 45

The RAAL MG is easily one of the most popular weapons and LMGs in Warzone. This is because of its large magazine size, high damage output, and low recoil,l making it very easy for slightly less experienced players to use. That said, in the right hands, the RAAL quickly becomes and deadly weapon at medium to long range.

Unfortunately, as this is an LMG, it does suffer in the mobility and handling categories, meaning it is incredibly lackluster at close range. This is where a familiar SMG comes in handy. The Fennec is another good option here as its high mobility contrasts well with the RAAL giving you good options for most encounters.

3 MCPR-300 / Vastov 74-UMCPR-300 / Vastov 74-U

The MCPR-300 is the first sniper players will unlock in Warzone 2.0. Its high one-shot damage makes this weapon great for destroying the enemy's armor and preparing them for an easy kill with the secondary. Unfortunately, Snipers aren't really found in the competitive meta right now, but this may change in the future with a few tuning updates. We would like to see Snipers in a place where they can one-shot kill blue-armored enemies, giving them much more utility.

This Sniper paired with the Kastov 74-U seems to make a great combo. The 74-U is classed as an Assault Rifle but seems to handle much more like an SMG with its high mobility and fast rate of fire. With some attachments to reduce its recoil, players will find the time to kill extremely fast, allowing them to drop enemies with extreme speed.

2 RPK / HurricaneRPK / Hurricane

The RPK handles very similarly to the RAAL LMG, as they can be found in the same class. If players enjoy using the RAAL and feel like they want a change, this is a perfect choice. Using the in-game "mount" mechanic can be particularly useful for weapons like the RPK, as players will be using sustained fire at range to eliminate their enemies. Mounting will help to reduce the recoil in these scenarios making it easier to hit shots.

The Hurricane is another SMG that is currently dominating in Warzone 2.0 due to how common it is in ground loot. With this loadout, players can specify which attachments they have with the weapon. This SMG stems from the M4 unlock tree, meaning it will be fairly easy to unlock for most players.

1 TAQ 56 / Akimbo P890TAQ 56 / Akimbo P890

The TAQ-56 has quickly become the most popular weapon among pro players in scrims and wagers in Warzone 2.0. This weapon (also known as the Scar in other FPS titles) features a lot of good properties that players look for in a ranged weapon. This includes high damage, low recoil, and pinpoint accuracy. With the right attachments, such as a suppressor, extended barrel, foregrip, and optic, players will dominate other players in medium-range combat.

The Akimbo P890 is still fairly unknown among the wider Warzone community but has really made a statement in the pro scene. The time to kill at close range is ridiculously fast, especially when applying the armor-piercing rounds. Unfortunately, this weapon will probably get nerfed very soon, so capitalize on its deadly capabilities while players can!

Warzone 2.0 is currently available on Xbox, PlayStation, and PC on Steam and Battle.net.
