With Call of Duty: Warzone standing as one of the most popular battle royale titles, many fans have already started to look ahead to the sequel set to be released in the near future, Call of Duty: Warzone 2. Leaks for the upcoming shooter have teased several major changes set to come to the sequel, with some claiming the game will add a firing range practice mode and even suggesting the game will be a "hard reset" with no skins carrying over. Now, the newest batch of leaks has players comparing it to a past Call of Duty battle royale mode.

Call of Duty: Warzone 2 and its counterpart in Modern Warfare 2 have already seen plenty of leaks related to both the contents of the games and when they'll release. With Modern Warfare 2 currently set for a "Fall 2022" release window, past franchise trends suggest the game's release date will likely fall in November with others implying the game's major reveal trailer will come in early June. Now, a recent set of leaks shared by YouTuber NerosCinema suggests several changes will be coming to Warzone 2, comparing many of the features to Black Ops 4's Blackout mode.

The video uploaded yesterday by NerosCinema lists a number of changes coming to Warzone 2 from a source claiming to have played the game early. According to the leaks, Warzone 2 will play similar to Black Ops 4's Blackout game mode with several changes like loadouts being locked to challenge-based strongholds and requiring players to find armor through the game's loot rather than spawning in with armor. Another major change suggested through the leaks is a "bag system" with players only able to carry a limited amount of inventory.

The leaks also mention a number of maps from past games that will be returning in Warzone 2 including the original Modern Warfare 2's popular Highrise map, featured in multiple past Call of Duty games, and a brand new map for Modern Warfare 2. The new information also gives further updates to the previously leaked firing range coming to Warzone 2 with the practice mode reportedly showing damage numbers when testing guns, as well as being able to accurately assess a gun's damage at different ranges.

The impending reveal of Warzone 2 and Modern Warfare 2 comes as the Call of Duty franchise already has plenty of new experiences in store for fans. Activision revealed earlier this year that it is working on a mobile version of Call of Duty: Warzone and Warzone itself has seen plenty of new additions in recent months between the recent Godzilla and King Kong event and the Season 3 update. Warzone 2's changes will look to give the game a unique feel from its predecessor and harken back to the popular Black Ops 4 mode.
