It's no surprise that the Call of Duty franchise has continuously changed over the years, from simple foot soldier gameplay to be able to command a massive Heavy Chopper. But COD has also aesthetically changed since it has featured popular celebrities like Snoop Dog and even one of the most famous athletes in the world, Messi.

Another unique gameplay aesthetic that has become a pillar in the franchise is finishing moves. And in Call of Duty Warzone 2 (and Modern Warfare 2), finishing moves have evolved into something spectacular (and humiliating for the victim) to watch. But to perform these moves, players must learn how to equip and execute them during a match.

How to Equip a Finishing Move

Warzone 2 finishing move menu is somewhat challenging to find for new players, unlike its predecessor, Warzone, which had a fairly straightforward menu. Hopefully, Infinity Ward adjusts this menu, alongside bringing back some older features that are still missing. From the Main Menu (either from Multiplayer, Warzone 2, or DMZ), players should navigate to the Operators tab (1). Once at the Operators Selection Menu, players can select either Specgru or Kortac (2) and then pick their preferred Operator (3). Highlighting the Operator, players should press the Customize hotkey (3).

This will open a new Customization Menu that allows players to change their Operator Skin (like the hilarious Burger King Skin) and Finishing Move. Players should select Operator Finishing Move (4) and then equip any unlocked Finishing Move (5). Gamers should remember that they'll need to do the same for each Operator since the selection is limited to the preferred Operator.

Using a Finishing Move in a Match

Call of Duty Warzone 2 Finishing Move Execution

Players are now ready to jump into a Warzone 2 match to see their new finishing move in action. But, of course, players that own Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 can practice executing these moves in a Private Match against bots. Once in the match, players need to hold the melee hotkey directly behind an enemy player to perform the finishing move. Additionally, Infinity Ward decided to visually improve finishing moves by changing the execution animation depending on how the enemy player is positioned (standing, prone, and downed), as long as the player executing is behind them.

As a word of caution, players executing the finishing move aren't invulnerable, meaning the enemy player's teammates can kill the player during the animation. So, players should be cautious while performing these moves since it can rob them of a prestigious Warzone 2 victory.

Warzone 2.0 is currently available on Xbox, PlayStation, and PC through Steam and Battle.net.
