TO prepare players for later this week, the Call of Duty: Warzone 2 launch trailer shows off more of the Al Mazrah map along with action packed gameplay. Needless to say, it's a big week for fans of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. After launching late in October, fans have been looking towards November 16 where Activision is planning to drop the first official season for players. The recent Modern Warfare 2 roadmap detailed a lot of the content including new operators, maps, weapons, and battle pass.

However, November 16 is also the official starting point of the highly anticipated Call of Duty: Warzone 2. Alongside the new narrative focused DMZ mode, Warzone 2 brings players to Al Mazrah, a place that campaign players should be fairly familiar with. While the overall objective remains the same in being the last person or squad to survive, Infinity Ward and Raven Software have introduced a few new mechanics including multiple zone collapses, interrogation, and more.

To help get fans excited about the incoming arrival of Call of Duty: Warzone 2, Activision has posted the official launch trailer, which showcases more of Al Mazrah alongside plenty of action-packed gameplay. Starting off as a squad of four, the camera continues to pan around specific locations on the map as players battle it out with explosions and vehicles all around set to the background tune of a remixed version of Free Bird by Lynyrd Skynyrd.

Halfway through, the trailer transitions to the DMZ mode showcasing a battle against juggernauts in what appears to be one of the Strongholds that can be found on the map. As previously detailed by Activision, DMZ takes inspiration from games like Escape from Tarkov, where players do battle with NPCs and other human threats to scavenge for gear and then extract through a safe zone. As the trailer shows, this is easier said then done as at one point, the extraction zone becomes flooded with parachuting enemies.

Players still have a few days to prepare their platforms for Warzone 2's arrival. The experience can now be pre-loaded, though Modern Warfare 2 players may need to do a bit of hard drive cleaning, especially on console. As most people expected, the Warzone 2 file size is massive and clocks in over 100GB worth of data. While that may mean some games may need to be uninstalled, Modern Warfare 2 does allow players to uninstall specific parts of the game like the campaign, which should help save a bit of space.

Call of Duty: Warzone 2 launches November 16 for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
