Players should finally get some official details on Call of Duty: Vanguard Zombies later this month. While plenty has leaked about the mode, including information on its perks, one Call of Duty: Vanguard fan has shared a perk redesign that would fit perfectly with the World War 2 aesthetic.

In all of the Treyarch-made Zombies modes prior to Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, players drank the perks from bottles. While this look became iconic, Treyarch decided to change it in Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War. Not only did this make the perks stand out and push the idea that the game was the start of a new storyline, but the Black Ops Cold War perk cans fit with the game’s 1980s setting. As such, Redditor PerkLemonade has made something that would be fitting of the 1940s.

Given that Call of Duty: Vanguard Zombies’ first map will supposedly be called War of the Dead, the World War 2 setting will likely be leaned on heavily in the new game. As such, the concept of canteens fits perfectly with the time period, and it is easy to imagine a scenario where these perk canteens were real. In the mock-up, PerkLemonade uses Jugger-Nog, with the classic perk having its logo on the main portion of the canteen.

A nice detail on the side of the custom Call of Duty Zombies perk sees the name Jugger-Nog written on the strap of the canteen. Red text is used so that it matches the actual logo of the beverage, helping the design stand out a bit more. Unsurprisingly, many Zombies fans have gotten a kick out of this concept, with over 500 upvotes seen on the post. Still, while many love the design, it is unlikely to become official based on the leaks for the new mode.

The Call of Duty: Vanguard Zombies leaks suggest that perks will be dubbed “Demonic Fountains.” This fits with the idea that this mode will center around the Nazis’ focus on occultism, with Treyarch basing this prequel story on real life. While it is possible that players could fill canteens with the drink from each fountain, it is more likely that the animation will see them drinking directly from it. With other leaks mentioning things like Sacrificial Hearts and a renaming of Field Upgrades seeing them become Artifacts, it sounds like it will be a dark take on Zombies.

Still, while this Call of Duty Zombies creation may not lead to an official design, it is still an excellent concept. With Forsaken just a few days away, and a new mode coming in just one month, it is an exciting time to be a Zombies fan.

Call of Duty: Vanguard launches November 5 on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
