Zombies has been a Call of Duty tradition for well over a decade now, and the upcoming Call of Duty: Vanguard will continue that legacy. The Call of Duty: Vanguard Zombies mode is developed by Treyarch and will be a continuation of the Dark Aether storyline from Black Ops Cold War, and it seems fans will learn a lot more about what to expect from CoD Zombies when the full reveal takes place later this week.

Activision has confirmed that the Call of Duty: Vanguard Zombies mode will be revealed on Thursday, October 14 at 8am PT. This announcement included some art for the Call of Duty: Vanguard Zombies mode, which confirms the involvement of Nazis like the old-school Zombies modes, as well as some kind of entity in the background. What's more is that this new version of Zombies will apparently be adding demons to the mix.

According to Activision, the Call of Duty: Vanguard Zombies experience will be a combination of Dark Aether, zombies, and demons. It remains to be seen what form these demons will take or if they will have a truly meaningful impact on how the game mode plays out. Call of Duty games have experimented with Zombies modes in the past by adding different enemy types and the like, so it will definitely be interesting to see what these demons bring to the table.

Once the curtain is pulled back on the Call of Duty: Vanguard Zombies mode, fans will have a pretty complete picture of what the final product will entail. Activision has already extensively showcased the Call of Duty: Vanguard multiplayer experience, even letting players try the game ahead of launch through multiple beta tests, and it's recently put the spotlight on the campaign mode as well.

The Call of Duty: Vanguard campaign will present an alternate history story that will take place both during and after World War 2. The plot will see the player characters attempt to stop the rise of a Fourth Reich in the wake of Hitler's death. Activision recently released a Call of Duty: Vanguard campaign trailer that gives fans a look at the characters and villains, and it seems like it should be a fairly exciting time for fans of the franchise.

After the Call of Duty: Vanguard Zombies reveal, the only thing fans have left to wait for is the game itself. The Call of Duty: Vanguard release date is less than a month away, so fans will be able to play the multiplayer, campaign, and Zombies as much as they want soon enough.

Call of Duty: Vanguard launches November 5 for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
