Call of Duty: Vanguard and Call of Duty: Warzone fans have a lot to look forward to once Season 1 begins. However, those wondering about new weapons and Operators are in luck, as some Call of Duty: Vanguard content has been leaked online.
Rather than simply being a bit of leaked code or a random rumor online, players have stumbled upon the official image for Call of Duty: Vanguard’s first Season. The art features three new Operators, something that had been confirmed by Sledgehammer Games previously. The first is a woman with short hair and a bandana, with another being a hooded man with a cloak resembling the one worn by Ghost in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2019. The final Operator can be seen in the background and is wearing a light ghillie suit.
As pointed out by known Call of Duty leaker @ZestyCODLeaks, two of these Operators appear to be Anna and Lewis - characters that had been highlighted in a previous leak. The leaker also believes the character in the ghillie suit is named Francis. These characters can be seen walking on the beach of Caldera, Season 1’s new Call of Duty: Warzone map, and their default outfits fit the tropical setting well. With the image being part of the official PlayStation database, it is hard to argue against its validity, and the same can be said for Season 1’s apparent 40.773 GB download size.
However, while the new Call of Duty: Vanguard Operators are interesting, it did not take long for players to pick apart the image and find what looks to be the new batch of weapons that is coming alongside the season’s launch. The one held by Anna seems to be a M1944 Hyde Carbine, while Francis’ weapon may be the M1944 Carbine. While this is purely speculation on the part of some players analyzing the image, the two weapons do look to be new additions, and it would make sense to include additional guns in the key art for Season 1.
While some players have theorized that the Sniper Rifle held by Lewis is also new, it is difficult to make out. However, @TheGhostOfHope does point out something that could be Call of Duty: Vanguard’s first new melee weapon, and the third weapon for Season 1. It seems like there are Nunchucks on Lewis’ back, which means players could soon be getting access to another dual wield melee weapon like the wildly popular Kali Sticks.
While these leaks are certainly exciting, players will find out if they are accurate once Call of Duty: Vanguard Season 1 releases. Fortunately, the wait will not be much longer, as the Season begins in just a few weeks’ time.
