Unlike previous entries to Call of Duty: Vanguard, there isn't a whole lot of exploring to do in the campaign. Some of the toughest achievements used to come along because they demanded players explore every nook, behind every box, and under every piece of debris to find a piece of lore or a secret weapon.

This year's installment is much more straightforward. Call of Duty: Vanguard players can get most of the achievements done by merely playing the game. However, one of the more difficult trophies to obtain, "Ticket Please," happens during the opening sequence of the first mission. Here is how players can knock it out fast and move on with the rest of the campaign.

What Is The Ticket Please Achievement?

Playing as Novak, the player will immediately begin the mission by hopping out of a train car and onto an opposing train. Cars for either train will count toward the achievement, but the game is pretty selective about what constitutes a train car.

Call Of Duty Vanguard Identifying What Counts As A Train Car Top

Platforms and objects on platforms do not count as train cars. The rule of thumb here is that if it doesn't have a rounded roof, it won't count for the achievement. There are only a few opportunities Novak has to get on top of the cars, so maximizing these chances is wise.

Strategy

It's possible for Novak to kill about 20-25 opponents during these opportunities, so perfection isn't critically important. What is important is making the most out of the handful of opportunities. Right off the bat, Novak is prompted to sneak up behind an enemy and take him down. Instead, run on top of the train, turn around, and shoot him.

This tactic will work on several occasions. Run past all enemies until getting to the next train car. Then, turn around and shoot the opponents behind Novak. This is important because allies will gradually start taking out the scraps that Novak leaves behind.

Call Of Duty Vanguard Opening A Hatch On Top Of A Train Car

While on the car, open up roof hatches and shoot the enemies inside. If they start scrambling, cooking up a grenade to do the trick. They will run around and sometimes exit the train, but each car is usually good for about 2-3 kills this way.

Call Of Duty Vanguard Locating The Gunner And Driver On A Nearby Truck

Finally, each truck has at least two kills available between the gunner and the driver. When atop a car, snipe the gunner first and then the driver.

When an ally yells out that the tracks are about to diverge, this is the final window that Novak has to kill the fifteen enemies. There is more, much more, mission left, but at no point will Novak get on anything that counts as a car. For players who didn't get it, simply restart the mission. This sequence only takes a few minutes, so it's not too much to backtrack.

Call of Duty: Vanguard was released on November 5th, 2021, and is available on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
