Part of the appeal of recent Call of Duty multiplayer is the progression, both with unlocking new perks and gear as well as skins for the various weapons. Call of Duty Vanguard is no different as its weapons all come with various challenges for players to knockout which then reward various cosmetic skins. The real prize for many players are the upper teir mastery weapon skins like Gold, Diamond, and Atomic, unlocked once all previous teirs before them have been accomplished.

Many players are always on the lookout for the fastest methods of unlocking these skins, typically done on smaller maps such as the recent addition of Shipment back into Call of Duty Vanguard. Thankfully, this weekend saw the addition of the 24/7 Ship Haus playlist, which features both Shipment and the other small Vanguard map, Das Haus, in a chaotic, never ending playlist. For those who don't mind constant action, this playlist represents a great way to gain XP and ranks.

However, fans have noticed a slight change, something that has gone unreported inside of last weeks previous updates which saw a major nerf to Call of Duty Vanguard shotgun class weapons. Unfortunately, these changes are likely to impact the amount of XP earned during matches on this playlist as the player count numbers have been reduced. Blitz pacing was originally set at 8v8, though after a recent update, the number has dropped to 7v7 lobbies. Assault is now 6v6 while the final option, tactical is set to 4v4.

While there are still going to be plenty of players invested in this playlist, the fanbase is understandably upset at the lack of communication. Additionally, there are those who are frustrated by the lower counts, which will likely mean lesser XP and challenge gain than they would have had otherwise had the player counts remained. Regardless of player count, fans have come across other issues with the Call of Duty Vanguard playlist, including players being added to thye wrong pacing lobbies as well as broken spawns.

While the community may view this as a high priority issue, Sledgehammer may have its focus elsewhere for the time being. Recently, fans have discovered a glitch with the Dead Drop Field Upgrade, an item that allows players to retain their killstreak score through death. Once the top killstreak has been earned, players have been using the Dead Drop item which then puts them 1 kill away from earning the top killstreak once again. That also means they again have access to previous killstreaks as well. It's causing an unending barrage of killstreaks and is no doubt a massive issue for multiplayer matches.

Call of Duty: Vanguard is out now for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
