In just a week's time, Activision will launch Call of Duty: Vanguard, the latest installment in the long-running first-person shooter franchise. Like other recent Call of Duty games, Activision has big plans for Call of Duty: Vanguard's post-launch support, with Season 1 set to kick off on December 2. While fans will have to wait about a month after the Call of Duty: Vanguard launch to jump into season 1, there will be some extra content released between now and then.

Call of Duty: Vanguard is launching on November 5 with a full-fledged campaign, Zombies, and a multiplayer mode with 20 maps. Then on November 17, fans can look forward to the addition of fan favorite map Shipment, which is getting a redesigned look to match the new game's World War 2 setting. Shipment has consistently been one of the Call of Duty franchise's most popular maps ever since it debuted in Call of Duty 4, so many will be happy to see it return in Vanguard.

Thanks to Call of Duty: Vanguard's integration with Call of Duty: Warzone, there's plenty for battle royale fans to look forward to as well. It's been confirmed that the Call of Duty: Warzone Pacific map, named Caldera, will arrive with Season 1 on December 2. The new map will be replacing Verdansk, offering players a brand new location to explore with new vehicles like planes.

Like Call of Duty: Vanguard, Call of Duty: Warzone players don't have to wait until Season 1 to get their hands on some new content. Between November 5 and December 2, Call of Duty: Warzone will start counting down the destruction of Verdansk. This will include limited-time modes and special events that all culminate in the current Call of Duty: Warzone map being wiped out and replaced with Caldera.

It's clear that Call of Duty: Vanguard is looking to launch with a bang, though it remains to be seen if the game will stick the landing. Reaction to the Call of Duty: Vanguard beta seems to have been mostly positive, so here's hoping the game lives up to fan expectations.

Call of Duty: Vanguard launches November 5 for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
