Season 2 of Call of Duty: Vanguard and Warzone, developed by Sledgehammer Games and Raven Software and published by Activision, is set to kick off on February 14. The Call of Duty: Vanguard updates will be available to download at 9 AM PT on February 10, and at 9 AM PT on February 14 for Warzone, after which both will be live.

Once the updates are downloaded players will be able to enjoy Double XP from both games to celebrate the launch of the new season. The latest season of free and additional content for the best-selling game in 2021 will provide a number of bug fixes, quality of life updates, new features, and included two new core maps.

Players will be able to duck and dive through the busy streets of Casablanca, the shining jewel of Morocco. This medium-sized, three-lane map set in the North African desert will have players scurrying through a bustling marketplace littered with tons of buildings that they can explore and climb around on. The litany of vertical engagements will provide an assortment of close to long-range combat options.

Call of Duty Vanguard Gondola

The new Gondola map is also a medium-sized, three-lane map. This one is set in the European mountains and will let players do some skeet-shooting from a gondola high above a large gulch and fire watchtower. If they decide to stick to the gondola, players will need to pay attention and jump off of it before it rides straight over the cliff. But multiple tactical options are available, so players can either take advantage of the long sightlines along the gondola route or run into the power plant and its adjacent caves for some close-quarters combat.

The Season 2 Battle Pass is locked and loaded with a new killstreak, free perks, and a lethal grenade. Fans of Call of Duty: WW2 should remember the Ball Turret and its incredible power. The new Ball Turret Gunner can be activated only after achieving a 12-Killstreak. Players will find it difficult to achieve, but the carnage it can dish out is probably worth the effort.

The first free perk is "Armory," a direct counter-perk to Engineer. It's ideal for players who often find themselves using placeable Demolition Charges or Field Equipment pieces, and concussion mines. The second perk is "Mechanic," which provides a buff to the Field Upgrade charge time. Lastly, the Sticky Bomb is being added as another option to the stock of grenades in Call of Duty: Vanguard.

Additional information for the new season has been promised, so fans should stay tuned for more patch notes from Sledgehammer Games and Raven Software, as well as a special announcement from Treyarch and the Call of Duty League.

Call of Duty: Vanguard is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
