Following its release earlier in November, Sledgehammer Games continues to keep Call of Duty Vanguard updated not only with new content, but fixes for a variety of issues that have cropped up. After recently moving into a live service model a few years ago, the Call of Duty games have continued to push out new updates frequently as well as seasonal updates and bundles players can pick up from the in-game marketplace.

Similar to the Call of Duty games before it, Vanguard wasn't perfect out of the gate, launching with a number of bugs and glitches that have been identified by players. In fact, this latest update comes right on the heels of two previous game updates posted earlier this week, one of which saw the return of the map Shipment keeping its lengthy history with the Call of Duty franchise intact. Overall though, the November 17th update was relatively small in comparison to the latest update which addresses numerous issues.

The latest update for November 18 brings a nerf to shotgun class weapons, an issue that many Call of Duty Vanguard players have been voicing their frustrations about. Adjustments have been made to the ADS spead, or bloom, for base weapons without attachments. In addtion, Sledgehammer made a full balance pass on all shotgun class weapons adjusting range, pellet spread, hipfire penalty, and more.

Call of Duty Vanguard players taking part in the Search and Destroy playlist have also been dealing with a frustrating glitch since launch where the attacking team could easily get intel on the opponents. Once the bomb was planted by attackers, extra intel was given that showed when a defensive player was defusing the bomb. With this update, this difusal glitch has been fixed.

The much maligned Zombies mode in Call of Duty Vanguard has also recieved a number of fixes in this update as well. The patch addresses an Exfil issue where, even after failing, the player can still interact with the Exfil portal. In addition, Legendary Covenants should now appear as expected for all players.

Not mentioned in the patch notes is the arrival of a double XP event across all platforms. Over the weekend, players can earn double XP progression in all areas of the game including account XP, weapon XP, operator XP, battle pass XP, and clan XP.
