With the release of Call of Duty: Vanguard drawing closer, more information about the game is being released before launch. Details have already been released about the gameplay, campaign mode, and some of the game's exclusive PlayStation content, like the extra DualSense features for Call of Duty: Vanguard.

Of course, there was information revealed about the Zombies mode for Call of Duty: Vanguard through trailers, and more news about the game just dropped. Recently, PlayStation released a new post that provides more details about the Operators that will be available in the game's multiplayer. The post has Sledgehammer Games' Narrative Lead Director, Stephen Rhodes, explain who the new Operators are in Call of Duty: Vanguard.

The post reveals four of the new Operators that will be available in Call of Duty: Vanguard's multiplayer includes two characters from the main campaign, Arthur Kingsley and Polina Petrova, and two new characters, Daniel Take Yatsu and Padmavati Balan. Each character gets their own bio in the post where Rhodes goes on to provide details about each Operator.

In the post, Rhodes dives into the ideas for each character, their respective backgrounds in the game, and their combat roles as well. The first is Arthur Kingsley, a British paratrooper and the main protagonist of the game. He is leader of the Special Operations Task Force in the campaign whose dedication to the mission is matched by his compassion for his soldiers. According to the post, if players pre-order Vanguard they will be able to immediately play as Arthur in both Call of Duty: Warzone and Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War.

Next is Polina Petrova, a vengeful Russian nurse turned sniper and member of the Task Force who is inspired by women who fought on the Eastern Front during WW2. The third Operator is Daniel Take Yatsu, a Japanese-American sniper who uses his skills to support and protect his fellow soldiers on the battlefield. The fourth Operator is Padmavati Balan, who is described as a "fierce soldier adept at jungle warfare" from India. According to Rhodes, one of the goals of the game is to highlight the humanity of the main characters in Call of Duty: Vanguard.

Each section also comes with a cinematic video showcasing each Operator's definitive skills and attributes with brief snippets of gameplay showing them in action. However, that is the extent of gameplay that's shown for the new Operators in Call of Duty: Vanguard's multiplayer. In the post, Rhodes states these four are but a few of the many characters that Call of Duty: Vanguard will bring to life in both the campaign and multiplayer modes.

Call of Duty: Vanguard releases on November 5 for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
